Summary: Stay was ok. Hotel showed as pet friendly, nothing stated otherwise on the room we booked. I think there may have been something in the small print of the general hotel details we missed. On arrival we were told we were not allowed the 2 bed apartment we booked as we had the dog. No real explanation as to why, we were so tired from travel we just accepted as it was too late to find somewhere else. We were downgraded to a family room with no view or facility’s which was a little disappointing. Staff were amazing, owner was nice. Breakfast was great. Car charger on site was handy, but a little expensive and slow around 1euro per kw and only chargers at 1.7kw. Our room was a little noisy as it was next to the car park and we could hear people above moving furniture around. Location was good, we were told the views were amazing 😒, but didn’t see that ourself as we didn’t have a room with a view. It did have a nice court yard. It seemed safe and clean, bathroom was big. Room was big, wifi was terrible.

Summary: This property exceeded every expectation and was by far the best property we stayed at during our ten day road trip in Sicily. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying two days rather than one. Frederica greeted us as we arrived and continued to provide friendly and hospitable service to us during our stay. She made us feel at home. The property is gorgeous: clean, comfortable, and relaxing. As first time travelers to Sicily, we felt safe and relaxed here. We will definitely come again.

Summary: While a bit off the beaten path, this met all our needs. The staff went so far beyond excellent service. We had a problem that needed police intervention. They sent a staff member to drive us to the police station, acted as interpreter, and then drove us to the train station.

Summary: The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was nice with a breakfast consisting of Sicilian baked goods, coffee and brought in from a local bakery. We also had a small private terrace. Parking was secure and easy. We participated in an ecotour to see Mt. Etna. The tour picked us up at the hotel, which was very convenient.

Summary: Exploring the Mt Etna area was a treat and after a full day, the Royal View provided a welcoming environment for us to treasure the day. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are very spacious. We were on the ground floor in a 1BR queen with a separate living room, small fridge and a patio with table & chairs. The floors were beautiful and the room was quiet and very comfortable, especially since we could leave the patio doors open in the bedroom for refreshing air. (They have A/C but it was early November so not used.). The heater worked great. The owner and his son were so helpful, and everyone in the town of Trecastagni made us feel like we were in the heart of Sicily.

Summary: The area from Viagrande to Trecastagni was a unique experience and, comparing the Royal View with other properties in the area, it ranks extremely high—a real treat. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The Royal View is not near the town center or any restaurants and the breakfast is in town (they will drive you) so it would be a bit difficult without a car. Regarding the number of guests, there is some discrepancy between the internet and the hotel, so if you book for more than one person, double-check that number in the final online commitment.

Summary: We were greeted by the host and his father, both very friendly. Private parking was good. The apartment was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. There was a private balcony with a table and chairs. Breakfast was in a local patisserie and very good. We would definitely recommend staying here.
