Summary: Both of us loved this amazing place! Rita and Greg were so fabulous and we enjoyed them. Rita, though, outdid herself with the wonderful breakfasts and snacks!! Eating became a new experience as we ate all her food slathered in buttermilk sauce (tasted almost like Carmel), blueberry sauce, or with our raspberries we brought. Such a great time! As I said we didn’t want to leave. We were completely spoiled! Thank you Rita!!!

Summary: A lovely private apartment in a gorgeous location next to the Methow River. Friendly hosts and entertaining chickens. We stayed two whole months and went cross-country skiing everyday on the Methow Valley Sports Trails Association groomed ski trails. Why does winter have to end?

Summary: What a wonderful gem of a Vrbo. Rita and Greg were delightful, warm, welcoming, and kind. We felt at home immediately, which doesn’t often happen even with the best vacation rentals. And on top of that, the breakfasts and treats Rita made were amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Summary: This was truly one of the most relaxing vacations my daughter and I have ever had. The only thing that would have made it better is if we could have stayed longer. The beauty, calming, and healing of the river, and Rita’s incredible breakfasts and treats, filled up our souls (and bellies!). It was such fun to meet the goats and chickens, and play in the river. And the rest—oh, the amazing rest—in that extraordinary bed. Rita and Greg are absolutely wonderful hosts. We are already looking forward to when we can visit again!

Summary: The River Rose B&B was just what the doctor ordered. After sheltering in place for months we decided to pack up everything and treat ourselves for a long weekend in Twisp. What a treat it was! We brought all our own food to minimize stopping along the way and Rita treated us to some of the most amazing breakfasts that we’ve ever had. We kind of took over the place, fishing, lounging, rolling on the giant lawn, deer sighting and bird watching (I never knew ducks could land in trees!). It’s a real working farm so you can check out the goats and chickens and watch them being fed. You’ll hear faint sounds of tractors and tillers (which I loved) but mostly it will be birds, trees, mountain views and water that will soak up your senses. The upper floor apartment was stocked with anything you would need or want and the beds are extremely comfortable. It was the most relaxing weekend I’ve had in ages. We hope to be back soon and will tell everyone we know about the River Rose. Thank you Rita!

Summary: We had a perfect 4 night stay. Rita and Greg are so welcoming and helpful, from serving full breakfast and homemade pastries to providing information on Methow activities and history. Accommodation is superbly appointed with all we needed. From their house, south of Twisp, we were within a half hour reach of hiking, biking and other valley activities.

Summary: Our family of four had an amazing time. Rita and her husband are the nicest most hospitable people. When I called ahead and told Rita about my daughters nut allergy she said no problem. We ate like kings from a peach gallette to cinnamonn rolls, sugar cookies, chocolate cookies and then the breakfasts! For me It was the best break from cooking. Knowing we had a hot breakfast to send us on our way to many adventures was the best as a parent it gave me a real break. Rita has these great river tubes and we floated down the Methow to Culver where there is a great swimming hole. She came to pick us up and take us back! We found a great spot to swim with kids behind the community pool where the twisp river meets the Methow it makes a great pool with a sandy bottom . The beds were really comfortable and and there were nice touches like glasses in the freezer and really nice knives that were sharp and ziploc bags. We ate at Tappi and that was great place, Rita provides locally roasted coffee from Blue star roasters. We were able to raid her garden for fresh lettuce for sandwiches and the goats and chickens gave us endless things to watch. My personal favorite part was to get my coffee and park myself out on the downstairs patio with coffee and read a book while my family slept in and Rita made breakfast and I would watch the river and smell the morning air. It was like going on vacation and staying at your favorite aunt and uncles house. Thanks you for the memories we will very surely be back! Kirstie
