To the south, after an hour’s drive, you can be in the wildlife reserves of The Everglades. Find your own deserted beach to the north. Drive to Pine Island in an hour, take a boat to your own private beach and share it with colorful shells, fish, and curious seabirds. You can drive the 14 miles from Fort Myers International Airport to Wellington Lakes in 35 minutes where your luxurious home will be ready for you, family and friends.
New Horizons is a four bedroomed private property situated in the quiet community of Wellington Lakes. It is a spacious villa, beautifully furnished as a family home with modern kitchen, Streaming TV, and Wi-Fi. Relax by the screened pool which faces south with a wide panorama across the lake or eat barbecued meals on the lanai which has sliding glass doors off the indoor sitting area and from the main bedroom to the side.
About a mile from Wellington Lakes there is a shopping area with a quality supermarket. Half a mile further on there are more stores, bars, and restaurants. Towards Fort Myers Beach watch pelicans from the balcony of one of the many dockside seafood restaurants. For the younger visitors, there are lively bars and clubs with live music and dancing. There is something for everyone here from the keen shopper looking for fashion at one of the outlet stores to those who prefer to laze quietly and comfortably at New Horizons. Others can explore the creeks accompanied by dolphins, manatees, alligators, and birds. Some may wish to play golf at one of the many courses a short distance away, hit tennis or pickleball or bike along cycle paths.

Summary: The home was a great fit for our family and the extended family that came with us. We were able to utilize the space well, and the home was close enough to anything we needed. Market, restaurants, beaches, and other fun stuff were all just a couple mins, to just 10-12 mins away. We certainly enjoyed our time.

Summary: We arrived on 19 Sept and had to contact the property manager who sorted out our queries. Our holiday was going great until Hurricane Ian struck and we had to evacuate the day after due to property damage and loss of services . We hope we can stay in the house when Fort Myers recovers.

Summary: The house was as described in the listing. We loved the pool and location. The house was clean and furniture comfortable. A few details could be fixed to make things perfect such carpets shampooed, light in pool didn’t work, and gas grill grates rusty (we ended up buying our own grates to use). But overall very happy with the house and would rent again.

Summary: Very good experience. House was well equipped. Could have used a griddle for making pancakes. Plenty of towels & linens. Rugs & carpet didn’t seem clean. Pool heater issue & Doug was right on it. Excellent service.

Summary: The property and amenities were wonderful. We loved the location and on-site pool. Would def book again the location and manager. The only complaint was the master bath toilet took over an hour to fill with water, making it difficult to share the bathroom. We all had the best time.
