Positive: Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. The resort exceeded my expectations - one of the best places I stayed during my Norway trip. The room, design, and facilities were excellent. The breakfast had plenty of options with both cold and warm dishes, and the quality was very good. Overall, I would love to come back and stay longer next time. Truly an amazing experience!
Negative: Only a small detail - my grandmother felt there was some dust in the room, possibly because it hadn't been used for a while. Otherwise, everything was great.
Summary: 15/10 - Surprisingly Awesome Stay! A++

Positive: Everything was good, our bed in the standard double room was enormous (queen size) and extremely comfortable, breakfast very rich with delicious, good quality selection. Hemsedal is such a beautiful location, will definitely come back, and stay at Fyri if we are in the area. The lobby has many sofas and armchairs and loved the fact they’ve had pool table, table tennis, chess dotted around so you can play while you enjoy a drink on a dark evening. Free parking was also a bonus.
Negative: Nothing to fault really, only one note regarding room cleaning, they didn’t come to our room until after 2pm, by which time we were already back in the room, otherwise all great. The pool and sauna could have been included in the room rate, rather than having to book and pay separately.
Summary: Brilliant and beautiful hotel, loved the couple of days we were there.

Positive: This was one of our most enjoyable stays so far. The breakfast was outstanding, rooms were very comfy, the interior design was super beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. If we visit Hemsedal again, we’ll definitely be back. It was so good that we now compare every other hotel to this one!
Negative: Nothing to complain about.

Positive: What we liked: * The resort offers excellent amenities, and the bathroom was spacious and well-designed. * The bed was very comfortable, even if the room décor was not quite my personal style. * Convenient EV charging at a nearby parking facility was a real plus. * Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of items – although it was surprising that white bread was not available at all.
Negative: What we did not like: * Staff on arrival came across as arrogant and not very helpful. * We arrived hungry at 23:00, but there were no food options whatsoever – not even a simple sandwich or cold dish. For a resort in this category, 24/7 food service should be standard. * The bar closed at 23:00, and even a late-night drink was unavailable. Reception offered no alternative options. * We had specifically requested two rooms with a connecting door for the family travelling with us, and had sent this request via Booking.com well in advance. At check-in, reception insisted we had never made the request – which was simply untrue. * Pleasant Resort, but Service Fell Short of Expectations

Positive: Gorgeous hotel, tastefully decorated, felt like we were in the lap of luxury - from furnishings to the cozy bathrobes in the rooms. Loved the photos that decorated walls throughout! Staff was helpful & friendly in spite of busy hotel.

Positive: The hotel is stunning, with charming common areas that conveyed a unique and mystical atmosphere.
Negative: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undermined by the service at the restaurant, which itself had beautiful facilities and fantastic views. We were taken to a “hidden” table, tucked between cabinets and shelves full of wine bottles and glasses frequently used by staff, who kept opening and closing doors without asking permission or offering any apologies. We could understand the poor location of the table, considering we hadn’t made a reservation. However, the staff’s lack of courtesy is both incomprehensible and inexcusable. As for the dining experience, it was moderately interesting at best. After finishing our main course, we waited around 40 minutes hoping to order dessert, but eventually gave up and asked for the bill. No apology was offered by any member of the staff. In conclusion, a hotel that could have left us with extraordinary memories was completely overshadowed by the poor experience at the restaurant. Out of 15 days spent across Norway, with stays in 15 different hotels, this was the only disappointing experience.

Positive: Great location in heart of Hemsedal Ski Resort area. At night with lights and inside design makes very impressive sight. Hotel has his years, but everything is well maintained, and rooms are beautifully decorated as well as hallways. Restaurant has stanning mountain few.
Negative: Requirements to use the pool. You have to make advance reservations for particular time frame. I booked the hotel with hope to use the pool on the night we arrived, but I could not.

Positive: The hotel itself is very cool and stylish, the breakfast was perfect - wide range of products, not too crowded (despite the high season) as the breakfast venue is quite big. Views over the valley are stunning. It is pure pleasure sitting in Liv restaurant. The location is also very convenient - across the street there is a lift to the trails. Ski in, ski out. Nice and convenient lockers. All very user friendly.
Negative: The cleanliness is probably the major problem in this hotel. During our 4 nights stay the room was never properly cleaned - the floors in bathroom and hallway were never cleaned, the same as carpet in bedroom. Also the room is very tiny, if you are in a skiing trip, it is not easy to manage with tiny closet. The waffle making machine during the breakfast was not working properly.
