Positive: We were upgraded to a spa unit which was much appreciated after walking the via Francigena all day. However, there was no spare blankets so we spent the night with towels being used as blankets. It was very expensive for what was on offer. The town itself was lovely with great bars and a delicious patisserie.

Negative: It was cold. Plus we were overwhelmed with messages from the host.

Summary: Ok, expensive, nothing else around.

Positive: This property is amazing. We came into a tiny, quiet village and found a perfect, restful retreat. Our room even had a sauna. We were in need of relaxation, and this stay was ideal. The hosts were also terrific.

Summary: Upscale, beautifully appointed room. Beautiful bathroom and many lavish extras. A peaceful romantic getaway.

Positive: The room was modern and clean.

Negative: Communication with this offsite host was a problem right from the beginning. I was asked repeatedly to send a photo of my passport -On a daily basis for a week. After explaining I was uncomfortable with this… I finally gave in a sent it only to be told twice they didn’t receive it. Walking the Via Francigena has enough effort put out for the long days of walking. This communication issue was stressful. When I arrived I was soaking wet and the room was cold. There was only a thin blanket so I slept with two towels over me. The temperature was set and couldn’t be made higher. Overall… I cant recommended this accommodation:(

Positive: Everything about out stay was EXCEPTIONAL! We stayed in the Branco room that included the hot tub and sauna which was so therapeutic and s great treat at this point in our walk of the Via Francigena South. The room top notch of the highest quality! Great espresso maker. The location was fantastic right in the center of town and the communication by the host exceptional. We are so sorry we don’t have more time here and would give his the highest recommendation! This is a great value for the quality.

Positive: The room was gorgeous and exactly as described. When there was an issue with the hot water at night they quickly had staff members come to fix it. It was a really relaxing and enjoyable place to stay nestled behind a castle. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The sauna and jacuzzi worked well. The place they recommended for breakfast had some of the best cornetti I have had. I would certainly stay here again.
