Summary: My first hotel room review ever. I have previously stayed nearly everywhere in Lewisburg over the past 15 yrs and at other Fairfield’s, this was my first time at the Lewisburg location. While it was clean - owing primarily to the newness, the room was by far the most sparsely furnished and institutional of any Fairfield or comparable hotel. I have stayed in motel 6’s better furnished. No desk or desk chair to work at. Nor any table and chair to eat takeout. Instead a plain table fixed to the wall under the flatscreen tv and a hard wood chair. No pictures -none. No mirror other than the bathroom. Strange. Most annoying was the all too environmentally “friendly” AC unit which although new was set to restrict the fan and temperature - regardless of the setting on the wall. The fan kept turning on and off which is disruptive to sleep mostly because the white noise from a constant fan blocks the slamming doors and hallway voices. And the temperature not going below 68 - ignoring my input on the thermostat like an annoying office building where you can’t really control it to a comfortable temperature also contributed to little sleep. The windows were sealed shut - in rural zero crime Lewisburg! No air and no escape in a fire - you'd have to throw a chair through it to survive. To top it off the pillows are cheap and hard and smelled vaguely of sweat. I suspect not washed after each guest. Clearly they are over zealous in cost cutting at the expense of guest comfort. Not again.

Summary: I loved the hotel! Very clean and GREAT breakfast. Plus the staff was super kind. I only gave a 3 star for the area around the hotel because it’s Lewisburg and there’s not a lot to do.
