Positive: The location was stunning.. beautiful set up in nature. The pools were beautiful and the staff was exceptional. Always willing to help.
Negative: Nothing bad... I guess there is not much to do at night aside from dinner, but it was also part of the beautiful thing about being at the Fairmont. You truly felt in nature.

Positive: Beautiful hotel, has everything a family might require! Very nice gym, breakfast and facilities! Spent 4 night with our 3 daughters!
Negative: Looks old and worn down in some places! Also the place were the guests have breakfast can not accomodate even 1/3 of the people so there is an average wait time of 25-30min per day! Also, the staff quality varies a lot! You have the ones that are on top of everything and then you have staff at the pool that may not show up for 15 min or have to ask for someone to take an order 3-4 times and they do it with a very “heavy heart”! Almost makes you feel bad asking…
Summary: Very nice hotel for families! Good amenities! Staff needs to be more “pleasant” at the pool areas and the entertainment

Positive: The hotel is gorgeous, the green areas well kept and the pools are stunning.
Negative: Maybe slightly bigger cubicles for the pool bathrooms, it was very tricky using them with my daughters, or a dedicated family bathroom.

Negative: Maybe I’m just not meant to be in the shuttle sort of situation… I don’t like having to schlep to some meeting point to wait for a shuttle. And knowing there’s a delay in virtually everything because of the shuttles, I plan ahead and the morning we left, we called ahead by 30 minutes to ask for a shuttle to come to our room to pick us up plus our luggage. They sent a shuttle for the luggage but not us. This led us to having to schlep to the stupid station and wait for a shuttle you that never came. We called twice to get someone to pick us up. 20 minutes. We had to catch a flight. The shuttle never came. We ended up flagging down a guy driving a shuttle who was heading to the beach and convinced him to turn around and take us to the lobby. Stupid stupid stupid. It makes absolutely no and I mean NO sense to send a cart (that we called 30 minutes ahead for ) for the luggage but not the people. Do it at the same time. Use the same cart. My God. Ridiculous. I would’ve rated it at 10, but after this morning, it’s a seven. Purely for the shuttle situation.

Positive: The beach was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Free boat ride was very relaxing and fun. They managed to get halal meat for us every night (we told them in advance) so that was very helpful. They celebrated our anniversary every night! There were many cool birds in the compound! Iguanas too!
Negative: Pools in the laguna area were a bit outdated. Sometimes one has to wait a while for the buggy to arrive. But very minor compared to the fantastic experience.
Summary: A beautiful resort with plenty to do!

Positive: The property was beautiful. The adult pool… heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Negative: Probably my biggest complaint is that the pool menu caters too much to American guests. No spicy salsa (we’re in Mexico, this is a must), no good taco options, etc.

Negative: The bedding was not great quality, felt very cheap. Lumpy in the physical bedding (not how it was made). At each restaurant I ate at, the service and wait staff was incredible!!! The service at the pools and beach were a bit lacking - each location and each day of the trip, the it was difficult to get drink/food service, often times not being checked on for close to 45 minutes. Of course I could easily get up to get food/drink, but it’s a service that’s provided so wanted to enjoy. At the adults only pool, service was very slow and hard to find someone for umbrellas, towels etc.
