Summary: Calgary is an unheralded gem! And The Palliser is a fabulous hotel which has retained its elegance over time in a fabulous location! Though it appears the city has witnessed a bit of the post Covid decline experienced by many large cities, we felt very safe and enjoyed the numerous restaurants, bars and shops one block from the hotel doors.. Also, we enjoyed a shockingly delicious and affordable light meal at the Calgary Tower restaurant, Sky360.

Summary: We had a room directly by the elevator and there was a great deal of noise all throughout the night waking us. We were also to be called when our room was ready but e we’re never called. Our luggage was delivered to the wrong room.

Summary: Fairmont has a reputation and it shows. This property is immaculate and located in the heart of downtown. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and professional conduct from the staff. Everyone you came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Our room was tasteful. Big selling point is the comfort of the bed and pillows. Slept well every night. This property is a 10! Kinda of a shame we stayed only 4 days, will return

Summary: We had an amazing stay! The staff are absolutely fantastic! The door man was sooo sweet and hung onto my car when my parking was up and even tried to refuse my tip! Unbelievable hotel over all!

Summary: Misleading: Self parking was not with the hotel but a connecting parking lot shared by the Calgary Tower building. If you have some luggages with you, instead of as directed by the front desk to park at level 3, you will be better off go park at level 4 then find the green door and go in to take the elevator down to level 3 before you reach the connecting bridge back to the hotel. Parking at level 3 is mostly assigned to valet parking, which is $60 a day, the few self parking spots is by a tight space with a few steps or you will have to wiggle your way around the parking gate. Also, more importantly, when you exit the parking lot in the morning (4 out of 5 times) the gate do not open and you’ll need to call a number and wait for 15mins or more to talk to someone to open the gate! It’s frustrating, waste of time and inconvenient. When you complain to the hotel manager, they gave you one (out of the five) free self-park ticket, which it also did not work the next morning and have to call and wait for the gate to open! And expect train noise, it’s right beside the hotel and you’ll for sure hear it. Bring earplugs!
