For more than 100 years, our family has called this beautiful perch on the shores of Lake Michigan home. Beautiful sandy beaches, clear blue water -- both wavy and calm days -- provide endless entertainment and relaxation. Large trees -- some more than 100 years old -- grace the front lawn and offer shaded spots for games like croquet, badminton and hammock naps. The yard is large and provides a perfect view of the daily spectacle of the sun setting over Lake Michigan. The main house has 3 decks around it that welcome outdoor eating as well as relaxation. The main house has 8 bedrooms and 4 full baths; three other guest houses make it a perfect spot for your family vacation. The home is located on the bike path between Holland State Park and Grand Haven, and there are great hiking trails around the area. But you may chose not to leave the property!

Summary: Great location to have a family gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone, for all ages, and lots of room, inside and out. Very relaxing.

Summary: We had a great week, with plenty of time at the beach, enjoying the shady yard, the sunsets. We had our meals together with 20 people, and found the kitchen well equipped for that. We had folks working remotely part of the week, and there was wifi and quiet corners for them. The outbuildings were great too. We plan to return next summer.

Summary: The house and the property and the beachfront are amazing. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of decks and a huge lawn. The kitchen is big enough to prepare large meals for a large group and there’s two laundry facilities. We are definitely booking it for next year. Lindsey is a great host and a pleasure to work with

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying here! It is a very welcoming old family property with an amazing view of Lake Michigan. It is conveniently located to fun activities for the kids. We were surprised by everything that was there, including spices. Nothing is brand new but carries a feeling of home, family, and tradition. The property manager, Lindsey, is an absolute gem and will happily share any information about the property and the history if asked. The breeze that seemed pretty steady during the week of our stay kept things from getting too hot, and there are fans in just about every closet if the air does happen to stop moving. Also, with it being right on the lake it cools off nicely at night. Just be sure to clean the crumbs from the kitchen counter and tie the bread tight, or it may drew a few ants, but that isn't uncommon for most older homes. I am hoping that we will be able to stay here for our family vacation again next year!
