We invite you to come and enjoy our home away from home; only 73 miles from downtown Dallas but…. with the feeling you’re 1,000 miles away (Gas, Groceries, and Dining are only minutes down the road). Sunset Pointe is the place to put the electronics away, disconnect and unwind.
Sunset Pointe is situated on the southeast side in one of the most sought-after areas on Cedar Creek Lake. Imagine relaxing on one of the TWO large decks spanning the entire length of the house, sipping your favorite drink while you watch the kiddos play in the completely fenced in yard. Enjoy sipping coffee in the morning on the boathouse watching wildlife and boats go by or…. just drop in a line and start working on your catch for dinner. Come the afternoon, have some lemonade while you float off the dock, or explore the area by paddle board or kayak (provided). The top deck of the boathouse is inviting to layout and soak up some sun. If sun is not your thing, relax in our two person hammock where the towering mature trees make a wonderful canopy providing a great, relaxing escape from the Texas sun and heat. If you have your own boat or jet skis, there is a private neighborhood launch and newly installed cleats on the boathouse for you to tie up to. Once booked, instructions for access will be emailed.
As the evening draws near, enjoy a game of horseshoes or corn hole before grilling some steaks (or fish you caught) on the Weber grill. Unleash your inner Pit Master and use our Pit Boss pellet smoker to smoke something amazing. After dinner, settle out on either of the decks or boathouse with a glass of wine in hand and melt into the BEST sunset on the lake (after all that’s why we named our getaway Sunset Pointe). Once the sun has set, the landscape and outdoor lighting allows for the fun to continue. Light up that fire pit, bring out the smores and telescope for enjoying the starry night. In the summer around holidays, there is a 360* view of fireworks visible from the sundeck of the boathouse (as a reminder no fireworks are allowed to be brought on premises).
OH YEAH!!! Let’s not forget inside Sunset Pointe as you will find 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The 3 master bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) all have King size Sleep Number Beds, making this house perfect for 3 families. For the kiddos, we have 2 upstairs bunk rooms (one with 2 twin bunk beds, and one with 1 bunk twin over futon). You’ll find 2 amazing living areas, one downstairs with a 65" tv, fireplace and floor to ceiling windows to watch the sunset from inside. The one upstairs has a 55" tv, board games, a wet bar, and a wall of windows overlooking the lake. The chef in you will love the large fully stocked kitchen with updated appliances, and no Texas lakehouse is complete without a Margaritaville Margarita Machine. With enough room and amenities for 15, this Texas sized lakehouse is sure to please everyone.

**Internet is available, but please do keep in mind it is satellite internet, therefore it is a bit slower.

**ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING anywhere or JUMPING from the top sundeck of boathouse (there are large boulders closer to the sea wall)
*** Please Note our home is not designed to hold more than the full capacity of 16 guests so weddings, bachelor / bachelorette, prom parties are not allowed.
**NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOME
** We are a dog friendly home. Dogs approved on a case by case basis. $150 fee for the first & $50 for each additional. Maximum 3 dogs. We would ask that you do pick up after the dogs in the yard, so no one steps in anything. Please ensure all dogs are kept on a leash when not in the back yard (the backyard is entirely fenced). In addition, please no dogs on the furniture. The house is DEEP cleaned after every guests stay.
** Our indoor fireplace is for our gas logs only please DO NOT BURN anything else in the fireplace.
**Our boat nor our boat lift are available for use. We do have cleats on the side of the boat house to tie up to.
*** If at any time it is discovered the amount of persons at the property exceed the amount of persons booked, the security deposit will be forfeited and you will be charged an extra $50 per person per night.

Summary: We stayed on July fourth and it was incredible watching the air show over the lake. Fireworks across thee water in multiple areas. There was plenty of food storage with 2 refrigerators. TT Our host was very responsive and always helpful. He let us know about an air conditioning problem and his hard work to make sure that the house was comfortable while he had to wait on professionals to replace a unit. It was completely out of his control and he gave us notice before arrival. I’d just say he needs a new cleaning crew. If cleaning perfectly is nonnegotiable then you might find fault. It’s an older property in a perfect location with a great host. It was safe for children and our larger dogs. We loved our vacation. However with 4 families we needed one more queen size bedroom. Our fault.

Summary: My husband and I hosted the kids their spouses and grandkids here and it was perfect. Plenty of room for all the adults to have a room/bed with the kids living all the bunk beds, there were even plenty of toys for them! With two pregnant women and four preschoolers in the party four bathrooms was a godsend. As was the fenced yard so the kids could be set loose. If you need the newest/sleekest/mostest modern place to stay this isn’t it, but if you want comfort and convenience with a fantastic location and great views, this is it.

Summary: We had 12 people stay at the house and it was plenty of space for all of us. The property has great views of the lake and the sunset and a nice patio and sunshade room. The stairs inside to get up and down a narrow and not recommended for older guests who may have trouble getting up and down like one of ours did. The house is older and was not very clean when we stayed there. The beds were made and fresh towels were provided, but it seemed like it hadn’t been fully cleaned prior to our stay. It’s a lake house, so expect plenty of cobwebs and spiders along with the occasional flying roach across the kitchen. The refrigerator was pretty dirty inside and the house looked made up and swept; but didn’t feel like the owner does a deep clean between guests. If you’re ok with that, you’ll love this place!

Summary: We enjoyed that the house had so much room with many bedrooms and bathrooms….. lots of rooms for naps. The lake was down so much but that didn’t stop our group…..we floated for hours! It was a relaxing and fun time for everyone.

Summary: This home was "perfect" for our family and our stay. We had plenty of room (12 of us), the house was very clean and well supplied. The location was phenomenal - loved having morning coffee on the boat dock, sitting up on the sun deck, plenty of seating in the house and in the back yard for our family. The large back yard had LOTS of shade for our crew (young and "older") - a great break from the sun when needed. Lots of seating in the back yard. Having the fenced in backyard set our minds at ease with our "littles". The only downside for us (and this is stated more as an "awareness") was the steep narrow stairs inside - maneuverable but more difficult for older people. Communication with Ryan was a joy - quick and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ryan's place and would gladly stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Summary: Plenty of room for family of 9. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice & comfortable inside. Loved the back yard which was fenced for our fur babies. The only negative were the stairs for the older people.

Summary: This house had a great location with a backyard and its own boathouse with a sundeck we could use. We rented a pontoon one day, and it was great to tie up and load up the family and supplies right there. It was great that the house welcomed pets as well. The house provided some supplies in the bathrooms and offered a well-stocked kitchen. The staircase is very steep and narrow, so please be careful. We rearranged our sleeping arrangements to allow our mom to stay on the bottom floor, as she wasn't comfortable using the stairs regularly. The only downside to the house was that it needed a deep cleaning. The house was cleaned before we came, but there were several cobwebs inside the house. I had to duck under dangling spiders on the front door when entering at check-in. I notified the owner, but he said insects should be expected at a lakehouse. We stayed off the upstairs deck for the same reason. My favorite part of the house was the beautiful lakeview from the sunroom and backyard. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would rent the house again.

Summary: This is an ideal place for families. Three king beds and two rooms with three sets of bunk beds. All of us agreed to come back again. The kitchen is well stocked. The view is amazing, and the backyard is completely fenced in if you have small kids.
