Since winter 2021 the house is equipped with a large hottub (Additional charge for usage, cleaning and wood; not for summer season to respect quiet atmosphere)
The place Hemelum lies on the Morra, one of the Frisian lakes and is situated in a straight line between the IJsselmeer (lake) and the forests of Gaasterland. This spacious holiday home is located on very pleasant driving and swimming water with its own anchorage and a garden with a beautiful terrace right on the water.
This holiday home is suitable for 4 people (or family up to 6) and has a living room, a modern kitchen, 2 big bedrooms on the 1st Floor and 1 small bedroom upstairs with separate beds.
New bathroom since 2024.
There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling in the area through the slightly hilly landscape of Gaasterland or along the many beautiful lakes. Forests, open fields, IJsselmeer coast and cities like Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen and Workum offer enough entertainment and relaxation nearby. In the area you can rent bicycles or boats to discover Friesland from land and water. You can also have fun in the area on the golf course, in the riding school or with typical Frisian sports such as Fierljeppen or Skûtsjesilen. On the IJsselmeer coast there are different sandy beaches where you can have a wonderful time with the children on a nice summer day. There is a nice large children's playground in the neighboring village of Rijs. It is possible to take your pets along to our house, this comes with an additional fee of 50 euros per animal.
