Vue Montagne is a 6 bedroom (10+2 person), family chalet situated at the bottom of the main lift. It’s central location is ideally suited for accessing the slopes, ski school, shops and restaurants of Sainte Foy Station. You will find all of these are only a snow ball’s throw away yet the chalet maintains a feeling of privacy and calm, with tranquil views down the valley. It is the ideal location for both your winter snow sport holiday and your summer hiking or mountain biking vacation.
The ground floor space comprises an open plan living, dining and kitchen area (complete with a newly fitted kitchen for the 2019-2020 season), as well as a WC. There is a large balcony to the front with stunning mountain views, a perfect spot to soak up the afternoon rays with a cold beer or vin rouge and relive the days adventures. To the rear you will find wooden decking with a picnic table and deck chairs.
Sleeping accommodation is split between 3 levels. On the first floor is a master bedroom (with Jack and Jill bathroom), 2 twin bedrooms, a further shower room, separate toilet and a family bedroom. The family room is ideally suited to those with young children. It is composed of a smaller double bedroom and a larger mezzanine providing an additional living area, twin beds and a cot. Then ground/basement floor provides you with your final, double bedroom, and a bathroom containing an infrared sauna, shower and laundry facilities. There is also a boot room and single garage with ski storage on this level, with further parking for 1 vehicle outside the front of the chalet. Should you need it, there is plenty of additional public parking at the bottom of the road.
We have tried to equip our house with amenities to make you feel relaxed and at home. The flat screen TV has both French and English Freeview channels and a selection of English language DVDs for both adults and children. There is a CD player with AUX cable to let you relax and listen to your own music. And for those with little ones in tow a highchair, some plastic crockery, a cot and 2 travel cots for you to make use of (note: cot bedding not provided). For their safety and your peace of mind you will even find stair gates off the main living area and mezzanine bedroom.

Summary: The chalet was excellent, it was very clean, the facilities were great and the location is fantastic. The only thing that let the chalet down was the quality of the bed mattresses, in particular the queen bed that was very thin and uncomfortable.

Summary: We had such a fantastic stay that we have already booked for next year. The chalet had everything we needed for two families with five small kids, enough room, seconds from the slopes and with a beautiful view of the mountains! The owners were incredibly responsive to any small questions we had making the stay totally effortless. Sainte-Foy is the perfect location for families and mountain lovers who also want a quieter resort.

Summary: This is the second time that we have stayed in Vue Montaigne, this stay was as good as the first. The location could not be more perfect, the chalet is well equipped and the rooms are all a good size. We were two families which included four adults, two older teens, two younger teens and a child of 9. We all love this chalet. The communication with Emily and Mark is always really quick and efficient. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful chalet again, we had a really lovely holiday.

Summary: Location near the slopes: excellent! Towel package: excellent! The beds were made upon arrival: very nice after a long journey! We had 2 young children with us aged 2 and 1, the house is not equipped for that. There are too many messes and the stair gate is downright impractical and there is only one. Our 1-year-old Raff made a tumble from the stairs 5 steps down once. Upstairs there was no stair gate at all only a curtain. Here a 1-year-old child feels certainly the challenge. There are also sockets on the floor that the children can reach. A tip from us: fix the stair gates so that guests can relax without having to be constantly alert. I think the house is child-friendly from 3 to 4 years old. Kitchen-equipment was sufficient and fine!

Summary: The location of this chalet couldn’t be better! It is at the bottom of the slope where all the runs meet. Right opposite where the ski schools meet. Near a great bar, great restaurants, the shops and ski hire shops. The chalet itself is light and bright and has five good size rooms (one of the rooms is galleried to one of the double bedrooms so perfect for younger kids) our 7 year old son slept there and then during the day and evening before bed, that was where the kids hung out if they were in the chalet as it had a tv, sofas, DVD player etc. Meant they had their own area. We were two families - five children between us ranging from 7 to 15 years and there was plenty of space for all of us. Absolutely nothing to fault with this chalet. Great contact with owner and chalet management in the resort. Would definitely love to stay again.

Summary: We had a lot of snow on the way there which was a bit scary but we got snow socks for our car and then got there OK. We subsequently had super snow! We loved the house, there were us, grandparents, with our son, daughter both their partners and two little children each. There was plenty of room for us all though somehow we got the best room! My daughter felt that their double bed was a bit small with no room for a bedside cabinet but there was no more room for anything bigger. The children loved playing hide and seek as there were so many nooks and crannies. The top of the chalet overlooked the nursery slopes where three of the children skied for part of the time. It was so handy coming and going to take the children out for a short time, popping to the shops, going to classes, getting the main lift up, changing baby minding shifts etc. The cooking facilities were good, though limited storage for food for 10 for a week. I would recommend it highly. The caretaker Emma down the road was very helpful.
