Summary: My wife and I had an awesome stay at this house! It is obvious that the place is a family house where generations have enjoyed coming to the beach. The sauna is a great touch too after a rainy beach day! I agree with many of the other reviews for this property. It's pretty rough around the edges. The main living room smells like wet dog, we thought we heard rats in the roof and there was a trail of ants on the kitchen sink when we arrived. The bed mattresses are a little old and small too. Overall, nothing was intolerable or worth overly complaining about. The place was clean but some improvements would get it to a 5 star place. It's a solid 3.5 to 4 star place.

Summary: This property is in a perfect location! We really enjoyed our stay. I would have given it 5 stars but for several things that needed repair. Both the canoe and rowboat were not usable. (No seats in canoe, no oarlocks in rowboat) We fished off the dock, but would have loved to have access to the middle of the lake. Maybe the property description should not mention these items if they are not useable. The four adults staying at this property are not picky so the other things that needed repair were not bothersome to us. (Bedroom lamp that was missing a bulb.. found one, put it in, and there was an obvious short in the lamp! When we got to the property, the lamp was plugged in minus the bulb.. fire hazard??) the washing machine is severely out of balance.. rug in living room had big snags and spots.. never did figure out the TV!! That being said, if you like “pristine” this is not the place for you. If you like incredible views of the lake out the back door and sweeping ocean views out the front window, long walks on a gorgeous quiet beach, and a pet friendly house (we ended up leaving ours at home), this is an amazing get-away! We will go back.. it was well worth dealing with the few inconveniences..

Summary: Beautiful property and views. So many birds!! Comfortable for a few nights enjoyment at the coast. Will likely return. Neighbor to the north really doesn't like dogs and seemed annoyed that our dog barked at him through the window. I bet it's really hard for him to live next to this dog-friendly rental property. Perhaps it shouldn't be a dog friendly rental to avoid these kinds of tense interactions?
