Great for large familys. Or individual families.
It has its own private terrace straight off the gite, so guests can enjoy the unspoilt views.
The gite is totally individual so family's are not on top of each other and should feel relaxed to enjoy there holiday to the max.
There are animals on site, so guests are able to feed our donkeys, sheep and chickens.
Situated in the grounds of the Chateau.
The owners live in the Chateau full time, so are always on tap to help with most things.
There is a private pool which is used only by guests staying in the Gite.

Summary: Extremely beautiful, well maintained property. Exceeded my expectations both times I've stayed. I normally come and stay in the summer which is equally lovely but if the French summer sun is too much for you I highly recommend visiting in March. The Mutley Gite is truly amazing. Inside it is very tasteful, oozing with style. From the Gite one gets a sensational view spreading out over the quaint village of Beauville. You couldn’t really ask for much more. The family who live in the main house are very kind and thoughtful and will ensure your stay is very special.

Summary: We had a really relaxed stay in Mutley Gite, the well equipped property and peaceful grounds provided us a home from home for our week stay. The immediate area is quiet but busy market towns nearby were perfect for food shopping and Toulouse is only 40 minutes away so plenty to do when we weren't reading our books by the pool.

Summary: This was our third visit to the Gites At Chateau de Moutoussel and once again it did not disappoint! The gites are fantastic, lovely comfy beds, well equipped kitchens, beautiful views and great pool for all ages. A lot of thought has been put into each of the gites, to make your stay very comfortable and relaxed. The whole place is so peaceful , we didn't want to leave and we will be sure to return. To top it off Will and Karen who own the Gites are wonderful and will be happy to help with anything you may need.

Summary: This is the second time staying at Chateau de Montoussel. The first time we stayed in the Mutley gite which was just lovely. This time we took all three gites. I cannot express how much fun we had with the whole family being there with us. My parents stayed in the Red Y Pink gite, my sister and her family took over the Hopkins gite and I of course took the Mutley gite with the African bed which over looks the country side. To wake up in the morning and look out at that view. Well you have to see it to believe it. We have already booked for next year. Just cannot wait. A big thank you to Will and Karen for creating a relaxing atmosphere and three beautiful gites. See you next year.

Summary: We spent 2 weeks in Mutley Gite and had the most fantastic holiday. It is a perfect place to switch off and just enjoy the beautiful countryside. The gite is very well equipped and the kitchen is perfect for proper cooking. We also used the barbeque a couple of times. We felt really at home in this wonderfully decorated gite. Will is a very good host, always helpful and friendly! We visisted Toulouse a couply of times which is not very far away. We also took our bikes to cycle along the Canal du Midi. Carcassone is worth seeing as well. Overall it was a perfect holiday for us.

Summary: Nice furnished and spacious gite and welcoming hosts who are not intrusive at all and who are respecting your privacy. On the otherhand always available to assist/give advise when asked. Our 3 kids (9 - 12 and15) believe the pool site was a bit small but that has more to do with their energy level... Great view from the terrace, enjoying breakfast at sunrise. Loved the silence and tranquillity of the setting.

Summary: This was our second visit to Chateau de montoussel and we can't wait for the next! The accommodation is well thought out, with lovely finishing touches and equipped with everything needed for a home from home. The pool is lovely, as is the area under the trees with a hammock and swing chair. The black mountains and Pyrenees can be seen in the distance. A trip into the Pyrenees is recommended. There are many places to visit : Revel, Carcassonne to name a few.Will and Karen are excellent hosts and very welcoming. We had a very relaxing time and can highly recommend.

Summary: The Mutley gite exceeded our expectations! We booked last minute for an easter break and we struck gold by coming across this wonderful place. The gite has plenty of space, character and wonderful touches to make it super unique while having a modern feel to it. It is well equipped with everything you might need for a self catering situation and is a really nice private spot - you don't come across anyone else if you don't want to. You are situated in a lovely rural part of France so for us, being able to bring food from the local market back to cook and have a bottle of wine without worrying about driving was fantastic. I cant say how wonderful and helpful Will was during our stay, offering before we even arrived to shop for supplies for us (due to us arriving very late at night), this was also not a problem for him! He gave great advise on restaurants, places to go, things to do and places to see. Revel food market on a saturday morning is an absolute must - not just for the foodies but for the lovers of wonderful atmosphere and colours. Close to a great lake for swimming, walking and water activities- Lac de Ferreol. As mentioned in many reviews before, the bed is very impressive! You feel at home immediately. We have already recommended to many people we've spoken to!

Summary: We had the best time in this amazing place! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The gite is absolutely stunning, photos do not do it justice - the 4 poster bed is enormous and very comfortable, there is everything you could ever wish for in terms of well equipped kitchen, hairdryer, lots of channels to watch on TV. Outside there is a BBQ, gorgeous pool with deckchairs and another lovely area with a hammock and swinging chair and table tennis table, literally everything you could want! The area surrounding the gites is absolutely beautiful, there is so much beauty and nature and peace and quiet, everything we wanted from a trip away from the craziness of London. Would highly recommend to everyone!

Summary: We stayed in Mutley Gite with our 2 girls (7 & 4) and couldn't have found a more idyllic spot. The Gite is beautifully converted, with a gorgeous mix of old and new with plenty of space in the large open plan living area. We love to cook and the kitchen was really well equipped with everything we could need and the views from the terrace are beautiful. The pool and outdoor space are fantastic and when we did venture out to explore the local villages and towns, Will and Karen couldn't have been more helpful with tips on where best to visit with the kids, markets to explore and restaurants to enjoy. If you're after a family escape, beautiful accommodation in an idyllic quiet location this place is a must! We hope to be back soon.
