Park and relax at our delightful, newly refurbished cottage on Tay with loads of character and room for fun.
When location matters Tay Rustic Cottage offers it all. For those who are not familiar, Tay Street is an iconic family friendly street and is very popular with locals. It is a hop skip and a jump to one of New Zealand's best surf beaches. Surf life saving patrol flags within walking distance at Omanu Surf club.
Steps away is ‘event central’, Blake Park. Award winning cafes, Mixture and Tay Street Cafe are around the corner for those morning coffees and brunch. 15 minute walk (or short Lime scooter) to Mount Maunganui's main boutique shopping street and many high quality restaurants.
If you're looking for a memorable family holiday, a quiet couples get away or a weekend with friends - this is the place for you.
The Space:
The house offers 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
2 Queen beds, and 2 king singles, sleeping 6 people in total.
The bathroom consists of a newly renovated bathroom with a shower, with the toilet separate in the laundry. Washing machine and outdoor clothesline also for your use.
Property is fully fenced with privacy. There is a large deck with ample room for the kids to run around on the lawn. Free Wifi and smart TV. Loads of free street parking.
Entertainment plus at your back door! For those beautiful sunny days, enjoy the best of The Mount's soft white sandy beaches, Tay Streets iconic surfing spot and walking trails. Wet day plans include Bayfair shopping, Main Street shops, Hot pools, Bay Wave with Hydroslides, Timezone, Movie Theatres, are all a short drive.
Please note that we have a strict no party policy, including stag and hens functions. If you are looking at booking this accommodation with a party in mind please look elsewhere.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay with our family of four. Good sized bedrooms with fun linen for the kids, small lounge and TV area with heat pump and a lovely bookshelf. Excellent communication with property manager when needed instructions with the oven. Overall the cottage was a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

Summary: Sarah was great to deal with. We had such a great holiday on Tay Street. Good location! so close to the beach and Tay St cafe. Very clean and tidy home we will definitely be back! 😀

Summary: This is such a great place to stay! Wifi was really good and it the linen was lovely. We loved walking to the beach with the kids and the cafe Mixture is literally round the corner and is amazing. If you didn't have a car, the New World supermarket isn't too far either and more shops. Awesome beach pad!
