Tristi and Alex would love to welcome you to Dan River Getaway, their thoughtfully-updated Blue Ridge retreat -a favorite in this area. Nestled on 21 acres with 26 cabins, with one of the best views on the property. Pet-friendly, too. Open, beautiful, comfy and cozy. Massive skies, incredible clouds, beautiful sunsets, amazing stars, expansive views. Open year round!
This cabin is a mountain home away from home, and is very well-appointed, very well-equipped, comfortable and welcoming. Comfortable beds, plush mattress-toppers, top-quality bedding and pillows, atmospheric lighting - all ensure a comfortable stay.
Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, a short walk to fishing the Dan River, and close to Floyd Va. and Mount Airy, NC. Located 3 miles from the famous Mabry Mill and 5 miles from Chateau Morrisette and Villa Appalachia wineries, 6 miles from Buffalo Mountain Zip Lines. Along the Crooked Road Music Trail, close to Fairy Stone State Park, The Primland Resort & golf course, and The Olde Mill Golf Resort.
So much to explore! But, you might just want to rock on the deck and watch the clouds roll by, and spend relaxing, warm evenings enjoying the sunset. On those chilly nights, come on in and snuggle up by the gas-log fireplace.
We supply paper towels and toilet paper, towels and linens, extra blankets and towels, food storage (baggies, foil, etc.). You'll also find laundry soap, dish soap, as well as basic cleaning essentials. Spices and cooking oil are also provided. The kitchen is well equipped to put those spices to use, too! Excellent quality cookware, cutlery, cooking and baking tools. All you need to bring is food, clothes and toiletries!
We have Smart TVs, Blu-Ray and CD player, home theater sound system, cable tv, and high speed internet.
Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, smooth top range, dishwasher, ice maker, drip and Keurig coffee makers with gold filters, washer/dryer, and much more.
The Primary bedroom is on ground floor and has queen size bed.
There are two queen beds in the loft bedroom.
Portable crib is available for children.
Dining table with leaf, set for 4, seats 6 with leaf.
Living room has comfortable sofa, leather recliner, a rocker, gas-log fire.
Outdoor Tru Infrared electric grill.

Summary: This cabin is incredible. The attention to detail is extraordinary. It was amazingly well stocked with everything we needed and the decor and furnishings were utterly beautiful. The surroundings were serene and views from the porch were stunning. The hosts were a pleasure to work with. Check in and out was very easy. I highly recommend this property.

Summary: Wife and I decided at the last minute to book a little post Holiday escape somewhere in the mountains. We were not expecting much, but stumbled upon this lovely little cottage near the Blue Ridge Parkway just off 58 in Meadows of Dan. The property was slightly challenging to find at first, but only because we were navigating in very thick fog, haha. Once there, it was everything we dreamed it could be. Very cozy, and a good thing too because it rained and stormed both days. We snuggled up by the fire and decompressed. Cannot recommend enough... Unless you plan on booking when we are trying to return. :-). Thank you Tristi and Alex for decorating and stocking the cabin with just about anything one could image. We will be back.

Summary: My husband and I loved this little cabin overlooking the many meadows out back and with Buffalo Mountain in the distance. The night sky was full of stars without the ambient light of a more densely populated area - so beautiful. The peace and quiet was just what we needed to fully relax. The cabin was wonderful- clean, cozy, comfortable and with a well-appointed kitchen that had everything needed for our Thanksgiving meal. Thankfully, we didn’t need to get in touch with our hostess, Tristi, but she made sure we had her number and let us know that she was going especially attentive to her phone around our ETA. We would happily stay at this cure cabin again.

Summary: This is our favorite cabin so far, and we have stayed at different ones for the last 5 years. Very clean, well thought out for not only guests, but for our furry guests as well! First cabin that has a swing, as well as rocking chairs, on the deck. Enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, and the mooing of the cows. Would definitely stay here again, if available.
