Situated on Caney Creek in Live Oak Bend, our house is perfect for a family vacation, fishing trip, or a weekend getaway. The Sargent/Caney Creek area offers friendly folks, fishing in Matagorda Bays, surf fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, fishing in Caney Creek (guides available), duck hunting, bird-watching, beach-combing, skiing, wake boarding, boat riding, or just relaxing. Fun fishing right off the private pier -- day or night under 2 (1000 watt one green one white) fishing lights – is available. The private dock will accommodate 3 bay boats or several jet skis. The free, neighborhood boat launch is just 1/8 mile down the road where you can launch your own boat.

Summary: This is our second trip to Sargent. Second time to stay in this house. The house was great and the beach was amazing. Caught a 3.5 ft gar from the dock and a 37 in Red Drum off the beach!! Wonderful trip.
