Summary: The house was lovely and clean and the pool large and always sparkling. The hosts stay in a house on the property so are always available for questions. In our experience a car is a must because the shops are a 15 minute drive away and the internet connectivity a bit patchy for 3 teenagers so make sure you have plenty of mobile data. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful property.

Summary: We enjoyed a wonderful week at the house. The view on the lake is magnificient! We loved the large pool! The host Giona was wonderful! He helped us out, provided tips for the surrounding and even helped to make arrangements for a day trip to Rome! We would definitely come back for another week!

Summary: The property was gorgeous and owners’ hospitality exceptional. Can not recommend enough. We were a family of 3 coming from the U.K. (myself and my 2 children, aged 12 and 14) and had a week’s vacation at the house in July/August 2021. During our stay, we were subject to the initial 5-day quarantine period imposed on all U.K. travellers under the current Covid travel rules. Gaia was superb in supporting us during our trip. He stayed up on the first night to ensure our late arrival by taxi went smoothly, shopped several times for us at the nearby town to make sure we had supplies during our mandatory quarantine, and helped us with Covid test arrangements to secure our release at the end of the quarantine period. The property itself is lovely with a traditional Italian feel and lots of clever features that you learn to love. For garden lovers, there is a well-stocked vegetable garden and many herb bushes which Gaia was happy for us to use when cooking. The swimming pool overlooks the hills and lake below. And we barbecued at the outside grill several times, with late evening winds cooling the nearby terrace and dining area . It’s a gem of a place.

Summary: We've spent a very pleasant stay in this House. Nice looking and very convenient with all equipment. On top of that this house has a soul and the view on Bracciano lake is Amazing . Also it stay in a very large park . The region around is very nice with the lake ( Very nice for swimming ) and the Cities around ( Bracciano ) and of Course Roma less that One Hour by car door to door . After one day in the city in Summer it's very convenient to get back here in a calm end fresh location. The owner are charming and also good french speaking and give support and information you may need. I warmly recommend this house for Family .

Summary: I was born in Rome and I knew well this area,now I live in Finland. I have been asking friends and searching on the web but at the end I picked this fantastic house for 1 week.I wanted my little kids and my girlfriend to experience the fantastic lake of Bracciano,staying just off the pretty village of Trevignano,fully immerged in fantastic nature and staying in a beautiful charming and comfortable country house.And of course having the possibility of reaching Rome in 30 minutes drive whenever I wanted or take a short ride to any of the nearby Etrurian villages.This is what the Buen Retiro is,a wonderful and relaxing stay,with the most gorgeus view over the lake,a lot of space for my kids to run around on the best lawn I have seen for years. Highly recommended

Summary: this has been exactly what I was looking for. A beautiful charming,relaxing and very comfortable house,surrounded by a well kept and huge garden with a wonderful lawn,ideal for our 2 little boys to run and play around, a gorgeous view over the lake,just a few kms off the pretty village of Trevignano Romano.The property is surrounded by wonderful nature,great for walks, mountain biking.Easy drive to Rome and to all the small ancient villages of the south Etruria.I highly recommend if you love peace and relax, and if you want your kids to be free and in touch with the nature.
