Summary: Jean-Francois is a great host and very helpful. The location is absolutely unbeatable. Convenient to all the things you want to see and do. Quiet at night despite fronting a public area with restaurants around. The apartment is spacious (bigger than it looks on the website) and well appointed. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Jean-Francois even kindly left us a baguette, jam and butter, orange juice and milk. We would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in Caen.

Summary: This is our second stay and like before, we had a lovely time. The apartment is excellent clean and in an ideal. Position for all local amenities. A fantastic selection of bars and restaurants. This is a very comfortable apartment.

Summary: Great little apartment right in the middle of the historical center of Caen. Very well furnished with everything you could possibly need. Owner made sure we had everything and welcomed us with some home made pastry, baguette and a bottle wine. Parking spot on premises is very small but public parking available at reasonable rate around the corner. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Summary: The location of this apartment is excellent. We can recommend Café Mango for excellent meals (especially the langoustines). Monoprix, Castle, Beaux Arts not far to walk. Excellent bus service from nearby Hotel de Ville stop: easy to get to station, airport, Memorial museum etc Sadly we didn't meet the owners so it seems we missed out there according to other reviews but the check in and out was made very easy courtesy of his lovely neighbour, Gérard.

Summary: We were so glad to stay in this place on the old square! What a find. We wished we'd been able to stay another day. Thanks to our hosts and to the friend who checked us in. For others travelling as foot passengers via ferry, we were surprised at the lack of taxis at the port and then in the city centre where the bus dropped us off. Find a map to get you to this treasure of a location. We took a bus to the Caen War Museum which was a day well spent. The abbey close by is impressive. The layers of history enveloped us in such stimulating ways, reminding we Canadians of the complexities of all our histories. Thanks for this opportunity to experience Caen in this special way at "Centre Ancien". It was memorable and too short. To other visitors: stay and savour this place!

Summary: Charming and comfy apartment in great location for getting around and feeling at home in Caen. Our hosts greeted us at out much-delayed bus, provided not only breakfast basics, but treats too. If we hadn’t bought our return tickets, we might never have left.
