Summary: Great place. All prior negative reports were simply items you can expect from such a house. 1) one toilet needed user to lift handle from inner tank. 2) kitchen knifes weren’t sharp. 3) other than master bedroom- mattresses were fair. You won’t find to many of these gems like this. I still give a five star.

Summary: I had some business in South Texas so I decided to make it a long weekend with my wife and friends. It turned out to be a great idea. The Sea la Vie property was fantastic (5-star), located north of the SPI main area in a safe and quiet community. Franke team made it all possible. We look forward to our next visit to SPI.

Summary: We loved our stay here! If we are back in the area I would love to stay here again. We were able to afford it during off season, but it is pricey. We are willing to pay a little more for the privacy and beach front stay. House had everything we needed for a long weekend.

Summary: Overall the property was a very good place to stay. There were a few minor problems. The lock on the front door did not work. (The cleaning crew was available to let us into the house). The fire place was disabled. Could not find the garbage can. There were not any working beach chairs. The house has character but offered a great location with privacy. The wrap around porches were wonderful for views of sunrise and sunset. I would stay here again. The house was thoroughly cleaned by a hard working crew.

Summary: Overall we had a wonderful time: The beach, dunes, pool area, and beach community environment = 5 stars. The house needed some major upgrades- especially the plumbing and patios. As we mentioned to the office there was a powerful sewer odor on the main and upper levels. We do plan to return next season. Ed Fleischman

Summary: Beach is steps away and place is great. Layout was perfect for us and there’s plenty of room. The views were killer and the access to the beach while being outside of the town just enough to have more space but close enough to grab what you need easily was spot on. Could use some minor updating, but it had all you need.

Summary: Excellent home right on the beach. The porches and beach views are amazing. Community pool was big and well maintained. Easy check in and out process. Appliances could use updating. We will be back!

Summary: Firstly, this property has a perfect location — Right on the beach and away from public access points. Secondly, the house itself was designed really well, in terms of size and layout. Clearly someone put a lot of care in the furnishing and decorating and it shows. However, it is as though zero maintenance has been done on the house in quite some time. Virtually anything that could be broken was some level of broken, ranging from a dishwasher that wouldn’t really wash, a blender that won’t blend, and blinds that are broken. I would love to have visited this property at its prime, as I am sure it would have been fantastic inside. It still is nice as is, given the location and thoughtful design, but for the price being asked, I would have expected a lot more maintenance to have been done.
