Positive: Such a gorgeous lodge nestled in the midst of a magical forest … it’s been spellbinding and we felt so happy and calm staying at Fern Lodge…. It was beyond our expectations and we will definitely be back again …. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful happy place with us 😘xXx
Negative: Nothing apart from the lack of phone signal but that’s not a reflection of the lodge … we did struggle a little with the hot water with 3 of us having showers each morning, but again, it wasn’t an issue 🤷‍♀️
Summary: Tranquil, stunning surroundings, everything we needed for some time out from the rat race 😉

Positive: Absolutely gorgeous property surrounded by old growth trees. The beds were so comfortable, and the house contained every amenity we could think of. The hosts clearly love this lodge, and do a great job of making guests feel welcome.
Negative: We could have used air conditioning on the Saturday night, but we know that it doesn’t get up to 31°c very often!
Summary: A fantastic stay at an unbeatable price.

Positive: The location of the lodge is perfect for peace and tranquility. However, be prepared for the the avian artists to give your car a make over! The Lodge had everything you need for a relaxing stay and the beds, sofa and seats were all very comfortable. The only noises we could hear were from nature and if you are as lucky as us, you may have an early morning visit from the small deer 🦌. The lodge is quite a distance from the restaurant at the park entrance, which is not a problem for most people, but for small children or people with mobility issues, it might be best to use a car. On the other hand, there is a great path through the woods just a few yards up from the lodge.
Negative: My only slight negative would be the Internet connection. Whilst for most people a break from the world sounds ideal, if you need to be in contact with friends or family, a stable connection is a must. This is even more so when you consider there is zero EE, O2, Vodafone or Three mobile signal available. During our stay, the best speed we got was around 4Mbs, which is sufficient for browsing and emails, but for a lot of the time, we only got around 1Mbs and even had complete drop outs.
