Positive: Beautiful and quiet- really lovely location on an alpaca farm, the cottage was lovely and well stocked and David and Caroline were wonderful hosts.
Negative: We didn’t have a car - and I think you need one for this property as there’s over a mile of track before you can start any walks. David and Caroline were lovely and accommodating but cottages.com manages the booking.com and were unhelpful and unresponsive around questions such as if we could leave our luggage anywhere (which meant we cut our trip short as booked taxis whereas actually if we’d just have spoken to Caroline / Dave and the info booklet we would have seen they had some great luggage storage options).

Positive: Beautiful location, very peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Cottage really clean and comfortable. Modern and well equipped. EV charger next to the property worked really well. The alpacas were rather lovely and there were loads of swallows and housemartins congregating before heading off for the winter. Nice to be staying so close to Kielder Water. The owners also recommended a really nice pub for dinner that we were able to walk to from the property.
Negative: The only thing to note if you are thinking of staying here is that the track/road leading down to the property is a little rough and with a number of potholes. It's about a mile long and can take a little while to drive along it carefully.

Positive: Lovely couple who own the holiday homes, they are located on the family farm with beautiful views and easy access to Kielder National Park. I stayed for The Northumbrian Triathlon weekend and this was a perfect location! One thing to note; definitely pick up your shopping on the way, the property is a good 30 - 45 minute drive from a big supermarket.
Summary: Great value, lovely hosts and a great property.
