Positive: Great Location.. Feels like home.. Has more than Everything to stay there.. From Outdoor toy to indoor puzzles, book, Everything in there to spend great time with family. Garden is the most fun place where we enjoyed as well as indoor too.

Negative: Missed seaside for kids but we wanted to visit this type of village.

Positive: It was like staying with aunt Alice herself - an immaculate 1940s house full of home comforts, with a large garden. We were there during the July 2022 heatwave and the house was cool and inviting. The hosts thought of everything the guests may need.

Negative: Nothing - it was perfect!

Summary: An excellent stay - we will be back!

Positive: We absolutely loved the location of the property and stunning scenery. The house was immaculate, cosy and very well stocked with everything we needed. The garden was superb. It had plenty of outdoor games to play on the lawn and it was wonderful to watch the Red Kites flying above for entertainment. We loved walking around the village and really enjoyed the Aardvark Book shop in Brampton Bryon. Wood ‘n’ Ribbon in Hopton is a great place to stop for lunch and The Baron at Bucknell had a great choice of food for children.

Negative: There aren’t many amenities nearby which means you have to be reasonably well organised if you have young children like us. You can buy meat at the local butchers but most other basics require a drive to the supermarket at Knighton (just over 10 minutes away), but that certainly isn’t a big problem. The local Sitwell arms pub doesn’t always serve a full menu (only a problem with children on a Thursday!) and The Baron at Bucknell needs to be booked in advance as it gets busy (but the food is great!).

Summary: It is a beautiful location to stay with many castles in the area to visit. A lovely cottage!
