Positive: Restaurant overlooking the harbour is to die for. Fabulous seafood, outdoor dining options, great service from friendly staff; but for visitors with small pets, it’s a Mecca… we had our Miss Daisy at tableside… they even supplied her with a water dish.
Negative: No complaints or surprises…exactly as advertised!!! Owners are hands-on and attentive to details.
Summary: Perfect for those wishing a bohemian adventure.

Positive: Location was lovely overlooking harbour.
Negative: Very little cooking facilities or utensils etc. - only really a BBQ, so was OK in good weather, but you'd probably want to eat out if weather not good.

Positive: The views and location are amazing. The cabin was very cosy and comfortable.
Negative: For the amount of money you're paying, some aspects feel a bit basic, but I wouldn't say this took away from our stay.

Positive: Located on a quiet oceanfront area with a beautiful view of Okeover Wharf, about 10 minute drive to Lund (nearest grocery store other restaurants besides the Laughing Oyster). We stayed in the Shannagh’s Sweet Escape cabin which was new and smelled like fresh wood the moment we talked in. Scott and Shannagh, who manage both the Laughing Oyster and cabins, were very friendly.
Negative: Some disappointments: 1. It’s not a cabin with “1 living room, 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a shower and hairdryer” as listed on Booking.com. It is a loft cabin with a living room space, King bed and bathroom with shower on the ground floor and then one bed in the loft. We thought we were paying for two separate bedrooms but ended up with no doors to separate the beds. 2. We booked with breakfast included only to be told by Scott that this was a mistake on Booking.com. He made us breakfast on our first day anyway but it felt awkward. No breakfast was offered on our second day so went to Nancy’s Bakery in Lund. 3. No curtains in the bathroom or front windows. At night, we could not turn on the lights in the bathroom, which faces a street that connects to a campsite. We were woken up by 6am by the sun coming in from the front windows, and there was no privacy despite public traffic from the restaurant in front of the cabin. 4. No hairdryer. Scott did find us one but it should just be in the cabin as advertised. 5. The front door does not shut fully so we could not lock it. No key code was offered to us even when I asked, but it didn’t matter because the door didn’t shut. We put a heavy chair in front of the door at night when we slept. 6. The bathroom doors do not shut and no hardware from the inside. Can’t lock the door. 7. No internet in the cabin. So can’t watch anything on the TV. My kids went to the restaurant to use Internet.
Summary: Management needs to get up to speed before charging a premium. It was not the accommodation experience we had hoped for

Positive: I have torn feelings about this place. What i liked: the scenery and the views are really nice, and generally has a lot of potential. The cottages are quite cute.
Negative: What i didnt like: 1. Completely inaccurate description. We had the biggest cottage which was listed as 'two bedroom' - not only does it not have 2 bedrooms, it doesnt even have 1 bedroom. It is one large open space, with a loft. There is absolutely NO privacy, and made for an awkward stay with extended family member. There are rules about what you can and cannot list as bedrooms, because this really does matter. In this cabin, i could not undress etc, it was disappointing to learn upon arrival. The loft is very hard to access too. 2. Absolutely no breakfast, or facilities to make breakfast. Usually people choose cabins/hotels over camp sites because they dont want to bring the camping equipment to cook breakfast outside. These cabins have no table, not even a microwave to make instant oatmeal of popcorn. We left earlier than anticipated because my children were starving, and i had no way to feed them. 3. It felt like they are not ready to be open. No instructions about internet, directions, signs on where to check in, when to check out - absolutely nothing. TV in the room was not connected. 4. No curtains of any sorts on any of the windows, including shower and toilet. It felt really weird as its not a private place. 5. I found the hosts not very friendly, and for every small thing i needed - like the internet - i had to go and look for them (cant call as reception is terrible) and the couple times i did knock they seemed unconcerned about the fact that either they didnt provide me with information, or that the wifi wasnt working, or that the garbage wasnt taken out from the bathroom from the previous guest. Noone ever checked on us after i raised a few issues to see if we needed anything. Overall, they have a lot of issues to fix before they should open to rentals, OR they should significantly drop the price. I paid $513 with tax for one night stay, and it was 100% overpriced by about $250. At this time, i would not recommend, perhaps next...
Summary: Beautiful views, but overpriced for the state of facilities
