3 Bedroom Cottage in Arroyo City, Rio Hondo

We are located on the Beautiful Arroyo Colorado River this is part of the intercostals water way. We have barge traffic up and down the river to the Port of Harlingen the river is maintained at a 18 foot depth. Our dock is set up for night fishing with water and electric on the dock. You can go by boat to the Bay in 10 minuets and to South Padre Island in less than a hour. There is plenty of good fishing We have Dolphins swimming in the river. From the dock you will catch Tarpon, Red Fish, Snook and Trout. If don't have a boat and want to do some bay fishing we can provide you with contact information for professional fishing guides. There are many things to do in this area we are 1/2 hour from the Laguna Madre national Refuge, Mexico Border towns and Shopping and outlet malls.

Summary: Home was very accomodating, bigger inside than it looks! Loved the outdoor areas especially: covered patio with plenty of seating, and the fishing pier with its lights was fantastic! Caught lots of trout. Definitely plan to do this again.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay. Its was very relaxing, quite, with a view of local wildlife. The home was very nice with all the accommodations one could ever need. I hope to come back maybe sometime in the cooler months.

Summary: Stay here was great, the only complaint was non working lights at fish cleaning station. Also the fishing lights shut off for no apparent reason both nights disrupting the flow of our fishing as they take an extremely long time to come back on. Strange that the fishing lights of neighbors also would shut off when ours did.

Summary: Great all around. What I loved most: quiet, peaceful, private. Great place to kickback and enjoy some quiet time with family. Excellent host got back to us so quickly with answers to a couple of quick questions we had during stay. Fishing pier had it all! Nighttime fishing lights, cleaning table and lights, sitting benches. I loved also that the cottage and the fishing were so close together. Easy back door access to and from cottage to pier. Excellent A/C !!!!! Super impt. in this treacherous Texas summer heat! They had everything we needed at our fingertips. Gas and electric grills, all appliances and utensils. We will go back maybe a different time of year. Faces Northwest,(maybe a bit more west) so afternoon fishing got quite hot, but morning and evening fishing was fine! Loved loved loved the quietness! Just what we were looking for! Go and enjoy!!

Summary: Spent a few days with my father and brother fishing Arroyo Colorado and the surrounding area. Really enjoyed the stay. House was well maintained and had everything we needed. Dock appeared to be new and lights worked well. We had a great time and will be returning!
