Home on Gulf of Mexico canal with easy open water access (3 minutes at idle) and terrific views. Home has 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms and sleeps 8-10 with full kitchen, washer / dryer, satellite TV, screened porch with bath towels and bed linens included. This home is ideal for fishing, scalloping, diving and boating in the Gulf of Mexico. Home has been recently updated with all new beds (1 king, 5 XL twin 1 trundle) plus two fold out futon sofas. The outside decking, crows nest and floating dock (thanks to hurricane Hermine) have all been recently rebuilt. There are 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom on the ground floor. The floating dock can accommodate two 16' - 18' boats or one large (25'- 30') boat. Please note the home is on Cedar Island (not Cedar Key) next to Keaton Beach between Steinhatchee & Perry, Florida. This home is situated on a canal which opens to the Gulf of Mexico, which means minimal time at idle (see video in the listing). Come enjoy some peace and quiet along with the great fishing and scalloping grounds Florida's Big Bend area has to offer not to mention the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Summary: This place is a great place to take a larger family. The scalloping was amazing and the fishing was really good too! The house was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and the dock had enough space for two small boats. We had a great time!

Summary: Highly recommend, great house, very roomy, everything you need. Boat positioning was a little tricky, especially from the land side while trailering, but plenty doable with a little forethought. And they do tell you beforehand not to go back there with your boat on the trailer, however I had no choice, but was still able to get turned around.

Summary: House located in an awesome area and had great amenities. However, as we approached the house, we noticed the screens coming loose on porch and the back door that would not close. While trying to find a way to make the NW corner bedroom cool enough for someone to sleep in, we were able to change the filthy air filter with one we found in utility room. Also found some bulbs in utility room to replace some that were out. Bedroom remained too warm all week. Several blinds broken or inoperable. Stove and oven were filthy-set off smoke detector boiling water. Microwave was filthy. This would be a great place if maintenance and cleanliness had not been an issue. Overall very disappointed in the shape of this unit. We took pictures of what we described here, but there is no way to attach them to this review.

Summary: Sean was very easy to deal with and super helpful! I had my best friend planning his engagement on our scalloping trip the past weekend. I reached out to Sean for some advice on where to do it in Keaton because I have only stayed in Steinhatchee and further south. He was very helpful in suggesting Keaton beach park and was very accommodating. The whole trip went without a flaw and the house was more than enough room to accommodate 10 of us. Definitely looking forward to using his home again!! Thank you!

Summary: Just the place to unwind with fishing and boating. Very quiet neighborhood. The dock and fish station were a welcomed convenience. VRBO listings have always been top notch with listings and professional service.
