Summary: Nice welcome from owner. Stairs are steep and irregular. We stayed on second floor. My metal frame bed was noisy and soft mattress. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast extra but go to pub next door for more choices/value. Unsuitable for those with access problems. Car park adjacent in corner of pub car park. My corner shower had high step in and was snug...

Summary: A real hidden jem in a small village with lots of facilities. Opposite the Castle and duck pond. Not far to lots of tourist hotspots and when you get back plenty of free parking. Its an old building with creaking floorboards but that odds to the charm.

Summary: The property is very old, which makes it very quircky, which we loved. The views from the front bedroom are to die for overlooking the ruined castle and duck pond. The road is busy early morning and late afternoon, but that is to be expected and wasn't a problem. There are 2 pubs less than 2 minutes away for evening meals and it is very central to get around to various attractions. Debbie the lady who owns the property is lovely and very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. There is lots to offer for breakfast, we enjoyed the breakfast baps, very different. We enjoyed out 4 night stay and would definately go back again, so hence our recommendation that this is a great place to stay.
