Summary: A really unique and special accommodation for those who want to try something different. Everything about my stay was pleasant. Bring slippers for your feet if you’re staying during a colder month. Otherwise the cabins have everything you need for a cozy stay. Can’t recommend enough.

Summary: We booked two float homes for a group of 7 people: 1 grandma, two parents, 21yo daughter and fiancé, and 17 and 13 year olds plus two dogs. Adults in the yellow house, kids in the green. What a great time we had, just us, the ocean, the other float home guests who were friendly, and the birds and seals. These places are rustic but so lovely. They have everything you need and the owners are so responsive. We couldn’t figure out the pilot light in a fireplace and they were down working it in minutes. We got quick rides into and back from the Tofino dock from Pearl and family. Bonus points in the off season because parking is free in Tofino October to April!

Summary: While staying on what is essentially a boat, with the gentle rocking of waves beneath and what not, is something to get used to it wasn't at all a bad thing. A rather entertaining experience in my case, given that I was staying in winter with the wind & rain.I would highly recommend renting a car if you were to be visiting in winter, there is no public transport during winter and the Uber equivalent here is rather limited if you are a large party or have surfboards to travel with.If you want to surf and need to rent go to 'Pacific Surf School'. They provided the most affordable rates and well as delightful, friendly service.Pearl, the host, is delightful. Never met a more laid back, stressless host in my life.Summary:- The cabin gently rocks like a boat so expect to take 2 days to get used to that. I recommend melatonin to help sleep the 1st few nights.- Hire a car if in winter.- Rent surf stuff from 'Pacific Surf School' - Pearl is great.

Summary: Pearl was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to pick ups and information. Houseboat was warm and clean when we arrived. Only issue we had was the heater was not working properly (which Pearl warned us about) but it was quite a dangerous situation as flames we coming out from behind the heater and making the heater black. We were worried about it starting a fire so we pointed it out to Pearl. Would also be really nice to have a covered place to sit outside like a canopy. Due to rain we couldn't sit outside at all. Be very careful stepping on the dock, lots of metal poking out and debris. We loved staying there, lots of wildlife and friendly neighbors.

Summary: Staying on a houseboat was an experience our family had never had! We loved our time. Pearl is so friendly and was happy to hop us over to Tofino in her lovely boat! Everything was clean and beds were nice. Might be crowded for 6 people but possible. Basics for kitchen were there but we could have used a smaller knife for cutting veggies and fruit. The butcher knife worked though! Electrics were a bit tricky but we managed to use the toaster near the bed outlet:) The view is perfect! Seeing eagles fly all around and seals bob past! We will definitely be back and we recommended it already to friends and family!

Summary: Well built and insulated floating house. It rained the day we were there and we were comfy and cozy. Even got to hear the rain on the steel roof. The gentle swaying added to the ambiance

Summary: The property was good to stay in. 2 bunk beds were queen sized and two additional single bed. Its basically a cabin on the water. Things that could be better: 1. Covered patio area as it rains often. 2. Lock on the door. 3. A small handwash basin outside the bathroom. Overall, we had fun. Host was friendly and accomodating. Things to know before you go: Bring mosquito deterrent since you are literally on the water. And know that you will all be staying in the same area. There is a fully functional kitchen and dishes. Bring groceries. Bring games, etc to pass time as there is no tv inside and no wifi. Nice chance to unplug. (This is only for the one house that we were staying in. Other houses can be different.)

Summary: Dislike: Electric outlet not working so had to move things around and juggle device charging /toaster/lamp time on single remaining outlet. Wasn’t told we would have to pay for parking on mainland. Not a single mirror-could easily install one in shower area. Suggest installing hooks to hang jackets and packs at end of bunk bed. At least one bedside light would be nice. Like: quiet. Courteous and prompt shuttle from mainland. Sunrises over water. Herons and marine life on dock. Warm bedding and spare throws.
