This postcard-perfect little town, perched high on the cliffs overlooking the Delaware River, offers antique shops, art galleries, SOHO-style stores, a coffee house, and elegant Al fresco dining along the banks of the river. Also nearby is Skinner's Falls, where you can swim, canoe, go inner tubing, or just sun on the rocks and read the Sunday Times as the pristine waters gurgle all around you. Closer to home is Lake Superior State Park, which features a swimming area, sand beach, picnic areas with grills, and rowboat and paddle boat rentals. Summary: This sublime retreat in the Catskills is the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with friends. Beautifully designed, it's at once spacious (allowing everyone a little privacy and their own place to curl up with a good book) and intimate. The common spaces were wonderful places to gather, break bread and watch a movie or two. Everything you might need in the way of amenities is available, including an excellent record collection! On top of it all, Tom is an excellent and highly responsive host.

Summary: Our family of six people had a great time staying in this special place. The setting is beautiful and we all just loved standing in the kitchen looking out the glass wall to the gorgeous outdoors. Sitting on the floating porch while the rain came down was something we liked as well. We went hiking at a trail about 15 minutes away and tubing on the Deleware River also nearby. The spacious kitchen gave us room to cook together which we all enjoyed. The floating farmhouse was a perfect place to have a family get together!

Summary: The property is beautiful. The house is wonderful and well stocked with everything you might need. Tom is amazingly responsive and helpful. The kids rowed in the creek everyday, even during a surprise May snow! And managed to jump in the creek most days.

Summary: This house was a dream and the focal point of a magical weekend celebrating my best friend's bachelorette party. Tom was a pleasure to interact with -- he's extremely responsive and offers great suggestions about the area and things to do. We had an amazing time at the house and one of the highlights was using the wood burning pizza oven to make our very own personal pizzas (private chef Kristen was amazing btw!). The surrounding town is also adorable and we were able to enjoy a beautiful hike and a delicious brunch at The Heron. Highly recommend this house -- we would love to return in the future.

Summary: We had the pleasure of spending the weekend at the Floating Farmhouse, and it was FANTASTIC!!!! It was the perfect place to escape the city and celebrate my sister's bachelorette. The owner, Tom, was a dream to work with and made the entire process of renting a house and planning a weekend to remember incredibly seamless. The Floating Farmhouse was every bit as advertised. The property is absolutely beautiful and proved to be a restful retreat for our laid back group. The house was impeccably clean, spacious and inviting. If you love the modern farmhouse look, this is the place for you! We took full advantage of everything the house and the surrounding area had to offer, thanks to Tom's local attractions guide. I highly recommend private yoga in the barn with ChiHive studio, a private chef from Early Bird Cookery to experience farm to table cuisine, a concert at bethelwoods just a short 15 min drive up the road, hanging with alpacas at buck brook farm, enjoying a day out on Lake Superior in pink glitter paddle boats and dining at delicious restaurants (the heron & launderette) in Narrowsburg overlooking the Delaware River. We loved the Floating Farmhouse so much that we are already planning a trip to go back again next year!

Summary: Tom was a dream from the beginning to the end of the process, hooking our group up with the amazing Kristin who became our chef for the weekend and a fast friend, as well as the wonderful Susan of the Chi Hive for a spiritual end to a debaucherous and wonderful weekend in a beautiful home. Summary: This is the second time we have stayed at Tom’s Floating Farmhouse, and we had an even better time than we did the first time! He has updated a few things around the home, including renovating the beautiful barn (perfect for weddings, dinner party settings, or just enjoying the view). His taste level is an impeccable balance between clean, modern simplicity with the touch of “farmhouse antiques” you would expect in the Catskills. He expanded the creek to create the perfect size swimming-hole to enjoy on a hot sunny day. The waterfall seemed to be the main attraction with our crew to stand under for a nice water massage! The house is so spacious and is ideal for large parties. Each room has it’s own cozy setting, so you do not feel like you are on top of each other. In our group of ten, each person could escape to their own area without being disturbed! As our trip was a work creative retreat, this was ideal for us to spend time together- and apart. The amount of love and hard work that is constantly put into the house is clearly visible! Tom’s home is not just a wonderful place to stay, but extremely inspiring.
