Summary: Had a delightful stay at the Florida House Inn! We stayed two nights in a standard queen room with a car parked in the hotel lot. Julie and her staff welcomed us at check in and our room was exactly as expecred--quaint and comfortable. Our room was on the back side of the house, facing the courtyard, and we had a morning view of the adorable cats that prowl the property. The room had excellent air conditioning (upper 90's/low 100's during our stay), adequate lighting for getting ready to go out, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing...especially good for the post-beach wash. The amenities provided with the room were simple- a small TV (which we did not turn on), hangers and a small ironing board & iron in a corner wardrobe, and soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash supplied. Both mornings of our stay we partook in the complimentary breakfast. The food options were basic but delicious, with fresh scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, and quiche bites made each morning and a variety of other options, and the spread was perfect for what we were looking for out of a quick bite before heading out for the day. The location of the Inn also could not be beat, just off the main street of downtown, which made walking to dinner both nights easy and comfortable. I will definitely consider staying here again as the charm of the inn and its history make it a unique stay experience and the staff was wonderful.

Summary: Overall good experience. Great location and that's mainly why we chose it. It has a certain vibe that was charming and quiet, but it is an older property, so keep that in mind. Comfortable and unique. If you are a picky traveler, look elsewhere, but if you enjoy a more local, authentic experience this may be the property for you.

Summary: The room was clean and convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Great hot shower and charming decor. However, the upstairs balcony could use some much needed repairs. Broken rocking chairs and benches sitting around seemed unsafe. The flooring needs resurfacing and paint. Outside the property just needs sprucing up. The self serve breakfast was good. However, if you didn’t get right in there food was gone and no one available to bring out more.

Summary: I really enjoyed staying. We had been to place before for a family brunch on around 30 people. We loved the place so the next time I came to town and saw it available I grabbed it. I like they have their own parking available as street parking in old town is all pay to park. I enjoyed the Green Turtle live music next door. Rooms were quiet and a/c sufficient for this Alaska guy w temps in the 80s. I’ll be back. Great staff and service. Thx
