5 Bedroom House in Fly Creek

Fly Creek Estate - NEW LISTING 2024 -This large house was once the site of the Fly Creek Hotel, a stop on the old stagecoach route, and dates back to the late 1880s. Recently renovated and updated, this home is great for a large group. The 1st floor has an enormous studio apartment with its own private entrance and kitchenette. Perfect for the folks in your group who want to be a part of the fun, yet have some space to themselves.
The main house has 4 other bedrooms all are on the 2nd floor, and accessed from the beautiful center staircase in this classic center hall colonial home. The first floor also has a large living room with a sectional sofa, SmartTV and a ping pong table (not pictured). A large kitchen is just across the hall and perfect for making meals for a large group. If you forgot some basics for dinner, never fear, there is a great local General Store just down the road in walking distance. There is a full bath on the first floor with a shower just off the hallway. Off the kitchen and center hallway is backdoor that leads to the outside patio area with gas grill, outdoor dining tables and chairs. A large flat back yard is just beyond the patio and great for evening games of wiffleball, or you can enjoy Cornhole and Can Jam provided by your host.
The 2nd floor has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. A large primary bedroom with 2 Queen beds, a SmartTv, a sitting area and an ensuite bath occupies the back wing of Fly Creek Estate. To the front of the house, there is a Bunk room with a Double bed and a bunk bed with a Twin over a Double. Two more bedrooms are found on the 2nd floor as well, each with a queen bed and SmartTV. Off the hallway on the 2nd floor is another bathroom with a shower and a laundry room with a stackable washer/dryer.
The location of Fly Creek Estate is terrific! You can be to the Village of Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame in about 5 minutes, the Cooperstown Dreams Park in just about 10 minute drive. The historic hamlet of Fly Creek has a lot charm and a few must-stop locations while in Cooperstown, be sure to get out and explore, take backroad and enjoy the sites!

Summary: We had a fantastic week at The Fly Creek Estate while our boys played baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park. This house is a beautiful, old home with huge bedrooms and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, and a great yard for outdoor games and wiffle ball tournaments! We were able to walk to The Fly Creek General Store, The Cider Mill, the quilt store across the street (for some rainy day crafts) and it’s only a short ride into town for shopping and fun! Our hosts, Brian and Kelsey quickly responded to our questions and even mailed a forgotten item back to us after our stay! They were very gracious and accommodating. It was a great week celebrating with friends!

Summary: The house needs a thorough cleaning. Cobwebs, spiders and dirt when we walked in. The house was cute but over anything else the house should be clean for each renter. The walls were dirty as well. It made the whole experience very uncomfortable. The first floor needs an air conditioning unit. I would not recommend this house unless the owner hires a cleaning company that does a complete job.

Summary: House was clean and welcoming. We had a great stay and everything was exactly how it was stated. The house is only 10 minutes from dreams park which was nice. The owners communicated very well and were easy to work with.
