Positive: The kitchen was well appointed. The living room was spacious and light. The outside seating areas were comfortable and spacious with great views from the top patio. Parking was in a secured garage.
Negative: The flow of water from the bathroom shower was relatively weak. There is no lift in the block meaning that some people might struggle taking luggage up the stairs.
Summary: Spacious apartment within a short distance to the Cabanas promenade and boardwalk.

Positive: The apartment is very spacious, with comfortable beds and very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It is just a very short walk to lots of restaurants and a Spar supermarket. The outside space with a large terrace with dining table and a roof terrace with seating is exceptional. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset on the roof terrace and also did a lot of star gazing from this wonderful space. You can see and hear the sea from there but need to take a short boat ride to the beach (frequent trips from the front costing 1.50 euros per adult). The swimming pool was also great and usually very quiet on our daily visit. In just a few minutes walk you are on the front and able to walk along the scenic boardwalk and beyond into the nature reserve where there is lots of wildlife to be seen. We enjoyed watching the crabs when the tide went out. There are plenty of boat trips available from the front, to explore the nature reserve and learn about its history. The underground parking is very useful and driving in this area is very easy- the roads so quiet. We visited Tavira and enjoyed walking along the river there. We had a fabulous holiday and hope to make a return visit.
Negative: Nothing, it was all wonderful. Some might struggle with the two flights of stairs to the apartment, so need to bear this in mind as there is no lift.
Summary: We loved our stay in Cabanas De Tavira and would recommend this apartment for a perfect space to relax.

Positive: The apartment is in the perfect location, very close to the boardwalk, shops, restaurants and bars. The use of the communal pool is great as well for days that you don't want to take the water taxi across to the beach and it is very clean and well kept. The apartment is well kitted and we did not want for anything during our stay!
Negative: Nothing - Rui was fabulous host, we will definitely be back!

Positive: Location very central to restaurants and shops, water taxis. Underground parking. Property very clean and tidy - and plenty of supplies provided (dishwasher, washing up liquid, laundry detergent, loo roll etc) which is always useful. Hosts very friendly. Two terraces wonderful.
Negative: There is building work nearby - obviously outside the hosts control. No noise in the evenings though.

Positive: It was first time for us in mainland Portugal and it did not disappoint! This is a perfect location for a quiet place where you can enjoy stargazing or sunset from the view of your own roof terrace! It's conveniently located just few hundred meters from the seashore where all the restaurants and night life is. You can also see the sea from the roof terrace and hear it if the wind is strong. Plenty of off street parking and also a garage parking available but we didn't use it as the street was more convenient. Beach is near by but you might consider taking a boat to take you to the island beach (1,5 Adult or 1 for a child return trip few minutes to take you over the short distance). There is also a outdoor pool for the property that is not heated but was warm enough for a swim during the day as the sun can reach it almost all day (early April - i think water temperature was around 18-19 degrees C). This is also close to Tavira - in our opinion a hidden gem as it's one of our favourite towns in the region for it's historic character.
Negative: As others mentioned there is a bit of building works going on from one side but it didn't bother us as the noise was low and didn't start until 8 or 9 in the morning. If you are out during the day you will probably not even notice. In the evening it was always finished by the time we were back.
Summary: Hidden gem, perfect for a stay in a tranquil location close to sea and restaurants
