Summary: We stayed there with our adult children and their friends. There were enough rooms and beds. A friendy host family as neighbor. Nice places for swimming not so far away by car. You need a car indeed.

Summary: Het verblijf was uitstekend bij de familie Colling. Wij werden gastvrij ontvangen met een fles wijn voor ons en zelfgemaakte appelsap voor de kinderen. Het huisje was voorzien van een meer dan complete inrichting. Tuinstoelkussens, zeer complete keukeninrichting compleet voorzien met kruiden, wasmiddel, vaatwastabletten en schoonmaakartikelen en middelen. De tafeltennistafel met veel toebehoor was erg geliefd bij onze tieners en de 9-jarige vond genoeg afleiding bij de schommel en trampoline. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Je hoeft niet naar het toeristencentrum, zij hebben gezorgd dat voorzien van folders en brochures van de omgeving. Wij waren er in een tijd met hoge temperaturen maar de gite was heerlijk koel. Ondanks de la Horne die voorbij stroomt hadden we eeinig tot geen last van muggen. Let eel op bij aankomst, google maps laat een locatie zien midden in het dorp Hanviller terwijl de gite iets buiten het dorp ligt in de richting van Bitche. Een toplocatie waar de enige rust af en toe onderbroken wordt door voorbij rijdende fietsers en een startende wandelaar richting de Cascade. De kinderen genoten ook van de militairen die het bos in gestuurd werden, de gite grenst aan een militair oefenterrein waar je geen last van hebt. Een echte aanrader!!!

Summary: Een aanrader! Wat een mooi en superschoon huis. Voldoende ruimte voor 5 volwassenen en 3 kinderen. Een prachtige tuin met uitgebreid tuinmeubilair waar we heerlijk gebruik van hebben kunnen maken. Een zeer hartelijke ontvangst bij de brandende houtkachel en iets lekkers stond voor ons klaar. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid May en Jos, we komen zeker terug. Familie van der Kroef

Summary: Zeer hartelijk ontvangst door de eigenaren van de accommodatie. Ook naderhand informeren ze je graag over de omgeving en zijn benieuwd of je het naar de zin hebt. Eigenaren spreken naast Frans ook Duits en Engels. Koel huisje in de zomer met mooie tuin en veranda erbij. Zeer ruim, met goed geoutilleerde keuken. Beetje gedateerde in richting maar dat boeit ons niet. Prima bedden. Redelijke WiFi. Goeie tv met natuurlijk allemaal Franse zenders. Als je HDMI kabel meeneemt, kun je vanaf je laptop streamen. (of Chrome cast). Neem een vliegenmepper en Deet mee. Prachtige natuurlijke omgeving waar je prima kunt fietsen en lopen. Fransen spreken in dit deel van Frankrijk meestal behoorlijk Duits en een beetje Engels. Ze doen erg hun best om je te helpen. Verder zijn er weinig toeristen. Voornamelijk wat Duitsers en een enkele Nederlander. In Bitche kun je goed bootschappen doen. Met kinderen is het leuk de tuin van Bitche te bezoeken. In het meertje bij Haspelschiedt kun je goed zwemmen. Strasbourg is een mooie stad om te bezoeken. Wel erg toeristisch.
