Summary: A couple of my friends and I wanted a nice getaway in the mountains and this house was absolutely perfect for that, in a very nice neighborhood, not too far from town and activities, beautiful interior, very clean and cozy inside! The house provided everything we needed, washer and dryer, stove, microwave, toaster, warm water, comfy beds and memories that will last us a lifetime! Thank you for such a great stay!

Summary: Beautiful and comfortable home. We visited the surrounding Deep Creek Lake and it was about 20 mins away (driving). The house truly had everything we needed to make meals and even grill. The property was quiet and great for a peaceful getaway.

Summary: Just stayed at Mainstead for the second time, and it was just as amazing as the first time (which was 3 years ago). This house is so cozy and was the perfect getaway for our family to see the beautiful fall colors at Deep Creek Lake. The fireplace came in quite handy with the weekend's cold snap. The house was very clean, linens and towels included and bright white, and overall an extremely pleasant experience. We will return for sure!

Summary: Great place to stay! The area is loaded with wildlife, it is centrally located to McHenry, it was easy to find, nice mattresses, and the place was clean and tidy with no major issues. Cooking in this house was a breeze, and it had easy access for my elderly mother of 94. Would definitely return and without hesitation. We are five time VRBO veterans and this place was the best.
