Summary: Beautiful house with everything we needed only 5 hours from Caen and with a beautiful view over the valley. Very prompt responses from George the property manager. We had a lovely holiday visiting nearby villages and sites of interest and would recommend this house and location in such a lovely part of Burgundy.

Summary: We have just packed up after a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. It was perfect for our needs, as grandad was able to stay on the ground floor, while the rest of the family had the upper floor. Well equipped kitchen, extremely comfortable beds and a view that our camera’s will never do justice to! Happy holiday-was all round…!

Summary: A fantastic house in the most sublime setting with views of the Burgundy countryside from the raised deck. George, the manager was helpful when we asked about an event in the nearby town and George’s wife was also when we had a minor medical issue. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided - and we made a range of meals for 6 every day for a week! The beds were comfortable and the showers worked fine, even the internet was good and we had 4 IT dependent under 25’s with us! All in all a wonderful place to stay.

Summary: We had a very enjoyable week staying at this property. The property was well equipped and comfortable. It was in a quiet village location, near to some good places to visit. It got a little hot upstairs with the mini heatwave we experienced but fans were provided, so we managed. We would recommend it.

Summary: We really enjoyed the house a lot, very spacious, the kitchen had everything we could possibily need and we enjoyed our meals on a fantastic Terrasse with a fantastic view. The July-weather was not that hot but we could still use the pool and enjoyed it. We would love to come back together with friends and rent both houses!

Summary: La Palliote is a chaming, comfortable holday home. Beautifull terras with spectacular views on the country side. Great swimming pool with comfotable deck chairs. The house is well equipped and , very importantly, the beds are very comfortable. The house is located in a small, quiet village se in the beautifull burgundy country side. Easy access to all sightseeing sites.

Summary: This beautiful maison offers tranquility, comfort and stunning views with lots of fun short trips within a 20 minute drive. The maison has been beautifully renovated, offering comfort without losing it's French rural charm. We stayed in the house with 5 persons and it felt very spacious! The pool was such a treasure for us during two weeks of sun, and the view from the pool and terrace is beautiful. Getting into the house was very easy by accessing the keysafe. A few days prior to arrival George sent us a very helpful guide, offering lots of tips and tricks about the house and the (local) area. We were lucky enough to meet George in person (socially distanced of course) and the contact we had face-to-face and via phone was very pleasant. The house offers all the necessary facilities and shops are a short drive away in several directions. Same goes for restaurants. We definitely will visit again!

Summary: Lovely house with wonderful view from the terrasse. The owners did a great thing restoring the house like this. Everything was well equipped: kitchen, bathrooms, garden furniture...A TV would have been nice too, f.i. when a person gets ill (like I did) it would have been nice to look at a DVD while the others were out of the house. Normaly I don't need a TV in a holiday house, but now it would have been nice. The surroundings are beautiful: lovely and peaceful villages, and a couple of nice towns such as Semur-en-Auxois. The heating wasn't functioning when we arrived but Richard and Caroline send a friend to have a look at it the day after. He could help us, but we still had to restart the whole system a couple of times and still couldn't get more then 19° in the living area. In the end this wasn't a great problem because the wheather became better and we still had a little 'mobile' radiator. (very useful in the bathroom downstairs in the morning) The logs for the fire place gave a lot of smoke in the room, probably because they still were a bit damp. But apart from this we had a lovely week! There was a person with us with restricted mobility but he too enjoyed the house very much with the sleeping room and shower room downstairs. There's enough parking space near the house, the swimming pool is lovely (though still very cold this time of the year) and shops are not far off (there's even a supermarket opened on sunday) . The owners were very friendly to let our 2 (little) dogs stay with us in the house. This was wonderful for us, because it's very hard to find places where there are 2 dogs allowed. I would surely recommend this house to friends!

Summary: A property that can be highly recommended from various aspects. The two houses are both well planned and exceptionally equipped; really there was nothing lacking. The open kitchen was great for communal cooking and each of our two families had ample space for ourselves. The village is very quiet but not far from shopping and a host of culteral sites. We especially enjoyed biking the area which is simply gorgeous with good, little traveled roads. A perfect get away location for one or two families. Burgundy at its best.
