Positive: - Location in the middle of the Old Town was perfect - We had a room at the back so very quiet even though there was Sant Roc Festival with parades and fire crackers right on the next street - Air-con was working as expected (but too loud to sleep - you have to play with the settings to make it quieter) - Friendly and helpful staff with everyday cleaning which I wasn't even expecting in a hostel.

Negative: - Shower was small - doable but small - you had to think twice with every move because you would end up with a wet floor in the bathroom. And there was no shelf in the shower so you had to reach out anyhow for yoor shampoo or gel. As I said - doable but not very convinient - Coffee selection from the machine was very limited - I do like my coffee with some milk and there was none of those available - but this is my problem - my wife said that the coffee was ok but a little bit bitter :) - Stairs - but again - my problem - I should get more fit :) But I can see why others might be complaining - we had only small backpacks but with a bigger suitcase it might be an issue for some people to bring it up. Bear that in mind if you are planning to bring a bigger luggage that the staircase is narrow.

Summary: Very well placed hostel in the middle of the town with everything in the walking distance

Positive: For a hostel stay it exceeded my expectations. Staff was courteous and the location in Placa de Flor was amazing. I'm tall but I still managed to sleep. People were coming in and out frequently but they were friendly. Everyone was respectful. Free water and coffee with regular air-conditioning made it all comfortable. When I asked for extra towels it was given to me. Plenty of toilets and showers to use at any time as well.

Negative: The doors leading to the rooms needs some maintenance - I hurt my finger whilst closing it. Sticks of wood come out. I'm sure this should be fixed soon as well. The issue of the hostel depends mostly of the guests coming in an out. It's a collective effort - some young people don't know how to properly clean, or keep things organised. So that's not the hostel's fault.

Summary: For a hostel stay i'd rate it very good. I'd come back if I visit Tarragona.
