Very private western log home in an upscale, gated community (Gros Ventre North) centrally located between Jackson and Teton Village. Walk up a stone lined walkway to the welcoming covered porch and into the warm glow of a two story log beamed living room, with a large river rock fireplace. The chairs around the fire pit beckon you to come outback and enjoy the infinity edge view of one of Jackson’s most beautiful ranching valleys. Wake up to beautiful sunrises with the distant sound of cows mooing several hundred feet below which is a great time to have coffee in the hot tub over looking the valley.
The nearest visible neighbor is a mile away but you're only 15 minutes from downtown, 20 minutes from the Jackson Hole ski area and 30 minutes from the airport.
There are three large master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms: a king on the main floor and a king and a queen upstairs. A very large fourth bedroom, above the garage, includes a queen bed and two singles, a TV lounging area and a home gym.
The kitchen is well stocked, has a Thermador gas range, two dishwashers, a walk in pantry and a large outdoor stainless barbecue close to the kitchen. A 50 bottle wine cooler is for your use solely . A large copper table seats eight in the log beamed dining room. There is also another eight person table on the covered porch for outdoor dining.
A three car garage connects to the house via an interior windowed mudroom with washer and dryer. The entire house and garage have in floor hydronic heat, which makes every corner of the home comfortable in the winter. In the summer, those coming from warm climates often worry about air conditioning but in Jackson it’s not needed. Cross ventilation takes care of the few really warm days we have and the nights always cool off which makes for great sleeping. There are chandelier fans in the great room and the two upstairs bedrooms if needed.
Relax and enjoy the solitude or head out for hiking, road or mountain biking, white water rafting, golfing or sight seeing in Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park. The Jackson Hole area is 97% publicly owned so there’s plenty of country to explore; or you can go to the Wild Life Art Museum or explore the many interesting shops and galleries in Jackson’s downtown square . There’s lots of nightlife and live entertainment and many wonderful restaurants.
Winter activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing or down hill skiing at either Jackson Hole Ski Resort or Snow King both 20 minutes away or Grand Targhee, 50 minutes away. For backcountry adventures, it's an easy 15 minute drive to Teton Pass while Grand Teton National Park is also only 40 minutes away. In winter, the house's driveway and walkways are cleared well and regularly (whenever it snows 4" or more), as are the roads along the butte.

Summary: Beautiful house, great location. Our family greatly enjoyed staying in house and visiting Jackson Hole. This will be a vacation that will be remembered a long time. The view from house is impressive and we saw many wild animals close to house.

Summary: Luxurious, spacious log home, built with superior craftsmanship. Welcoming, comfortable with majestic views. Quality furnishings, very well maintained and clean house and grounds Extremely well-equipped kitchen. Unparalleled location, minutes from downtown Jackson and Wilson, the airport and Grand Teton National Park. What a privilege to see the Teton range when entering and exiting the gated community! Wildlife sightings were a daily occurrence…and it never got old! We stayed for a month and relished every day in this one-of-a-kind house and location. Owner was communicative and helpful. Highly, highly recommend. Spoiler: It may ruin any other VRBO experience!

Summary: This is a really special house. It's beautiful, has complete privacy and an absolutely incredible view. It's clearly furnished as a home, not as a rental, and everything about it is well thought-out, better really than the listing and pictures. We stayed at the house with our adult children and it was perfect for us. The caretakers made themselves highly available, and it was easy to check in and to leave. We stayed at the property for two full weeks, so we got to know it very well, and it was consistently a great experience for us.

Summary: As seasoned travelers who have a range of unique travel experiences, our group of four couples were excited to travel to Jackson, WY. What made the trip one of the most memorable times we’ve ever had was choosing the JH Log Home. This home is exquisite. It’s spacious, well-appointed and has a peaceful and warm energy that made it feel like home. It is meticulously maintained, clean, and stocked with everything you can possibly think of. The beds, pillows and bedding in each bedroom were quite comfortable—none of us lacked for a good night sleep. Each bathroom was stocked with toiletries and fluffy, soft linens. The 8-seat dining table was perfect for our group and the modern, well-stocked kitchen made it possible for us to cook in each night and enjoy the company of friends. Each night, we would gather around the firepit and admire the incredible views. This home is in a tranquil, private community but is centrally located and convenient for exploring. Our group took a day trip to Yellowstone and returned home that night to make a roaring fire as we watched snow fall in June! The owners of the home were responsive to all our questions. The caretakers of the property clearly take pride in how they maintain it and even stopped by to check on the hot tub and ensure all our needs were met. Our experience was top-notch, and we can’t recommend this home highly enough. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us. What a gift it turned out to be.
