Located in Nebo, Foxtail Cabin is a quick 20-minute drive from South Creek Winery where you can enjoy panoramic views alongside their award-winning Bordeaux Style Wines after meandering through their scenic vineyards and century-plus aged Italian Renaissance Farmhouse.
Foxtail Cabin is a 25-minute drive from the quaint small town of Marion where you can spend your day exploring the new 310 District, an indoor shopping space that's home to Marion Wing Factory, Toonez Chop House, Marion Hot Wheelz indoor skating rink, Chances of Sprinkles Bakery, and several retail shops before enjoying some nightlife at Mica Town Brewing Company and Spillway Bridge & Co. Take a quick 30-minute drive to reach Nature's Playground, Morganton, which is home to South Mountains State Park along with a dizzying array of natural wonders and more multisport options than you can ever imagine. Spend your afternoon exploring Morganton's local shops, parks and greenways, and seasonal Farmers Markets, before grabbing dinner and drinks from one of the incredible restaurants and breweries, such as Root and Vine, Treat, Catawba Brewing Company, and Fonta Flora. Summary: Spent a little over a month in the cabin and it was just what my family needed to relax and unwind. While it would have been nice to have a baby gate (or 2) and a crib we had a wonderful time. It was very cozy sitting in the middle of the woods. The oven set off the fire alarm every time we opened it but it was reassuring that they all worked! Greybeard’s management team was very helpful when we came to them with problems. Would be back again in a heartbeat.

Summary: Nice place. My kids loved the outdoor space. Very quiet neighborhood. Walmart is about 30 mins away to grab stuff. FYI, only one person can use the water/shower otherwise it shuts off. Good to know if your bring multi people. We are a family of 6 so a little tricky. Overall, we all loved the place.

Summary: I enjoyed being able to get out in nature And relax. Overall, the cabin was nice; however, the basement area smelled like mildew horribly, being the one that had to sleep down there even though my clothes had been properly washed and dried. After I got home to put everything up, they, too, smelled of mildew and had to be released. There was not enough comfortable seating in the living room for everyone to sit and enjoy time together Before calling it a night. The yard was not mowed or taken care of for some time. Even after I called regarding the lawn and the lawn gig came out, he did a horrible job cutting the lawn.

Summary: Great cabin, love the design. It is a classic cabin design. Set in a wonderful planned, gated community. Plan ahead and bring groceries before setting in as the closest grocery is 25-30 minutes away.

Summary: We loved having the lake access on the property, it’s a 2 min walk to the dock from the back porch. The property feels secluded , which we loved . We bbq’d and used the fire pit . We cooked and baked . We even used the canoe available at the community center. The house was clean , lots of board games , and plenty of space .

Summary: This cabin was the perfect property for my family! With two teenagers and two large black labs everyone had their own space for sleeping and privacy for our dogs to run! The water level was down at the lake but still a quiet and beautiful place that was accessible to Biltmore and our hike up Mount Mitchell! We highly recommend it!
