The Flint Hills Hideaway is just a 10 minute drive from the Manhattan mall. As you're coming down the winding driveway, you'll notice the wrap-around front porch filled with rocking chairs and love seats and you will know this is the perfect place for your stay. This home boasts an open-concept kitchen and family room which comfortably seats over 20 people. The hideaway sleeps 15+ and is stocked with ANYTHING you could need. Fully finished basement, & private back deck with hot tub and fire pit! Great for watching the starry sky and making s’mores. There are 4 recliners and a thermostat-controlled fireplace. Lots of large windows for viewing the Flint Hills and the vast array of wildlife that ventures through the property. If the weather does not cooperate for your outdoor plans, don't worry. There are 2 closets filled with toys and games, a ping pong table, a foosball table, tons of DVDs and plenty of other activities to keep everyone entertained. This home will comfortably sleep 15, not counting air beds. Enjoy a nice one-mile walk around the neighborhood.. I loved this home and just want others to get to enjoy it as much as I do. I got married moved, and only spend a portion of my time in Manhattan now. Help me keep the memories flowing on this little 10-acre slice of Heaven where I raised my 3 boys. You will love it here! If this space is not available, check the Hideaway Lodge on VRBO. It is a smaller unit on the same property. If you pay for the property insurance, you do not have to pay the $500 damage deposit.

Summary: Very spacious. Fully and generously equipped and stocked. Linens and towels are plentiful. Comfortably secluded hot tub and fire area are fantastic. The stars are plentiful if the sky is clear . Beds are comfortable and kitchen easy to work in for a large crowd. Pingpong, darts ,fuseball table and Cornhole add a touch many places don't have. We will book again gladly. Highly recommend.

Summary: This was the perfect retreat getaway for me and my dog! We had to be in Manhattan for her cancer treatments, so I wanted a place in the country with plenty of room to relax. I read my book and played music, sat by the fire and used the hot tub. It was so lovely, clean, and easy. Thoughtful amenities were sprinkled throughout. Helpful signs with information, and communication from the owner when needed, were all EXCELLENT, and she was above and beyond accommodating. While the house was bigger than I needed for myself, this would be the PERFECT getaway for a family or small group. I couldn't be more pleased.

Summary: Great country setting. House is beautiful, well kept and very clean. The host is excellent communicator, very helpful. The setting was just off a paved road, nice driveway and super setting. Basement huge plus with a hot tub outside. Highly recommended.
