Positive: The apartment is located in a very nice part of Prague, Vinohrady. There is a park a few minutes away and a Lidl right after. The apartment is quite large and offers plenty of space. It was very convenient for a weekend stay in the city. Check in was very smooth and easy, we got very detailed instructions from the owner and they were also flexible about the checkout.
Negative: The apartment is located right next to the train tracks, and there is A LOT of VERY noisy trains passing at all times, also all through the night. With the windows open, you can't even hear what the other person is saying when the train is passing. If you're sensitive to noise, better bring ear plugs. Also the curtains were very thin and barely blocked the light, in June when the sun rises early that can be a problem. The beds were unfortunately not very comfortable, the frame of the big bed kept cracking as if it was going to collapse any moment. The WiFi was fast, but not very stable - we often got kicked out and had to reconnect.
Summary: Great location if you don't mind a few inconveniences

Positive: I booked Mabel cottage for one of our employees working in the area. On arrival the property was extremely clear and tidy with all requirements in place. It is walking distance from shops including a Coop and excellent pubs etc. Anthony [owner] provided the key and was extremely helpful. The feed back from our employee was extremely positive and that the property is in an idyllic location on the banks of the river Meon. Positive: The location is superb - we are regular visitors to Wickham, which is a lovely village with proper old fashioned bakery, butcher and pubs as well as a well stocked Co-op and a fish and chip shop, two Indian restaurants, the better of which is Kutis. It’s in the Meon valley and only a very short drive to Fareham, and literally 10 minutes drive from Portsdown Hill which is a must for the views. A 20 minute drive from Portsmouth with its historic ships, seafront and I think the only hovercraft service in Europe Mabel Cottage is a very quaint old cottage right on the river - we were there in the winter so didn’t use the outside space but we intend to return in the summer. Next door is Chesapeake Mill which is also well worth a visit - lots of great decorative items for sale and tea rooms as well. The bedroom at Mabel Cottage is very large with a comfy large double bed, a desk, sofa and coffee table, two bedside tables with lamps. It also has a log burner stove which we didn’t use because it wasn’t very cold Lots of hot running water and a reasonably well equipped kitchen I can see that one visitor didn’t like the cottage - it’s quirky in terms of decor. If you want sleek modern furniture then it’s probably not for you but it’s a very old cottage with appropriate furnishings. The clothes rail is, I think, an old Victorian school coat rack And is designed to look old as far as I can see. I’m pleased to say had plenty of those plush covered hangers so your clothes don’t slip off - a nice touch The small sitting room has a large screen tv with Netflix, Apple TV etc and there is good WiFi at the property
Negative: The stairs won’t be very good for anyone with mobility problems. The dining area in the kitchen is quite small - but big enough for two. There is only a bus service in terms of public transport but there is a mainline station in Fareham
