Private guest suite inside the original Chagrin Lagoons Yacht Club Commodore's home. Peekaboo lakeview from the unit. This suite is part of the main home but is completely separated with doors and has its own entrance, full bathroom with shower, and kitchenette appliances (microwave, mini fridge, keurig coffee maker with supplies). Nautical theme with a custom hand carved seaside fireplace mantel.
The layout is similar to a hotel room setup. There is a queen pullout couch and a twin trundle bed. A room divider is provided to visually separate the beds. A microwave and small refrigerator are in the unit along with a bar height table with stools. Linens, bath towels, shower soaps, and disposable plates/cups/utensils provided.
This is a part of the main home so you may hear the owner (older home and floors do creek a bit), but owner is quiet and accommodating and lives there alone. Private driveway parking and a large yard with fire pit are available for use. Suite is best for two adults, but can accommodate four. Home is 3 doors down from the entrance to the Chagrin Lagoons Yacht Club. There is a lake view, but no lake access. There is a roku smart tv, no cable but there are iPhone and android hookups.
There is a boat/kayak launch a 5-10 minute walk down the street with access to the Chagrin River and Lake Erie. One tandem kayak is available for guests should you want to use it! Lifejackets and paddles included. Must sign a waiver to use kayak, adults only please. There is a wheeled dolly so you can walk it down to the launch area. Owner is a local real estate agent and can provide any information about the area you are seeking! This suite's entrance is in the rear of the home with a key lock. You will have to walk through grass to get to the entrance and up three somewhat uneven stairs. Owner travels a lot and may not be present during your stay. Two lay out chairs are in the back yard for your use along with the rear deck. Welcome to the Commodore's house!

Summary: We were in town for a weekend soccer tournament and this place was just perfect for what we needed. So much better than getting a hotel room. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Good place to stay! The only thing I'd say is that it doesn't seem like you can "lock" your side of the house, there's just a barrier between this room and the rest of the house. But overall it was a great location, the lake is visible from the windows, and we had a great time here.

Summary: Perfect for two people, though you could fit more. Very clean, exactly as pictured, and lots of snacks/toiletries available on site in case you forget something. Very communicative with property rentor. It was the perfect spot of you don’t mind driving to where you need, there’s not a lot to walk to but you can walk down to the dock. We loved it!

Summary: Spacious one-room suite with newly updated bathroom. Lots of light in a comfortable setting in this lakefront neighborhood. I used the trundle bed which was fine; there is also a fold-out sofa bed. Microwave and small fridge served the purpose for my stay of several days. Jeff, the host, was accessible, responsive and also provided privacy. The unit's nautical theme is kinda fun and works with the surrounding neighborhood. (Lots of deer and squirrels as well.) I'll be back in my next visit to Cleveland.

Summary: This is was a great find! I have family in Eastlake… So this was very convenient and a superb value… There’s a pizza place and a diner just up the street. Jeffrey was a fantastic, responsive host. His communication was always quick and very friendly… It felt like I was going to be staying with family. It’s a charming space with lots of nautical character… the kids loved it! It was well-equipped with waters in the fridge, a microwave, chess set, towels, and toiletries… While it’s a space inside his home, it’s well-separated and quiet. The couch was very comfortable to sit (and sleep) on and having a little pub table was nice for the kids to use for snacking… They thought the trundle beds were really cool… The bath and shower totally met our needs as a family as well. We actually had the place to ourselves, as Jeffrey opted to spend time out on the lake, but perhaps our paths will cross next time so we can meet Tucker, his dog, and make some time to chill on the deck or by the fire pit.
