Positive: It is a wonderful Onsen hotel in the heart of Nagano. The people working there a wonderful, helpful, the politeness is beyond every standard, even for Japan. Thank you very much for the wonderful time we had, the high level breakfast and dinner, perfect support of the staff, and the Relaxing and quiet Rooms with the outside private onsen.

Positive: Clean traditional Japanese room with nice onsen facilities. There is typical separate gender onsen and also a mixed gender so couples can meet during their onsen bathe (proper attire provided for mixed bathe). Meal package was a 12 course meal and a hearty breakfast seated in private room. On top of it all, staff provided fantastic service. Great hospitality!

Positive: Meals are exceptionally good. Prepared with hearts. Fresh ingredients & nicely presented. Served with good hospitality.
Negative: All clothing for bath & sleep are nicely prepared & bought into your room. Onsen is clean & amazing. Outdoor bath very pleasant in the summer

Positive: Excellent Ryokan with a nice Onsen, very friendly staff and a very spacious traditional room. Because of the distant location you should take a look at the sky at midnight and watch the stars.
Negative: No negative points. However: Be prepared for a very comprehensive and vast dinner and breakfast.
Summary: Excellent place if you want to watch stars far away from the crowds
