Positive: Onsens were amazing. There’s 8 different private onsens to choose from each with their own unique features. Some examples of private onsens are: bubble bath, really hot bath, cold plunge + hot pool, sauna, semi outdoor etc. the rooms were also very spacious.

Negative: The rooms weren’t as amazing as the onsens. Despite the space, it didn’t feel as special as the onsen.

Summary: Terrific private onsens. Worth the price for 2 nights

Positive: This is a small local onsen hotel. I had a comfortable stay for a night . My room included a washroom and for the bathroom we used the shared public onsen. The onsen is excellent which is clean and spacious. There are few rooms of onsen (both indoor and open air), so we can choose trying different ones. In overall the stay is really reasonably priced. I would recommend it if you are going to stay in Unzen.
