Lovely and quaint this funky beach bach has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing fun seaside holiday. Fully refurbished and sparkling clean with a lovely garden out the back with a fantastic entertaining/barbecue area.
Just around the corner is Ngunguru's famous fish and chip shop, 4 square, golf course and a lovely cafe where you can get freshly baked bread each morning and the best coffee ever. Walking distance to the estuary where you can swim, kayak and fish or just sit in the peace and quite and watch the sunset.
Only a short drive away is Tutukaka where you will find restaurants, an ice-cream shop, art galleries and a few other local stores. Also the Marina and boat ramp to launch your boat and dive charters ready to take you to the world renowned Poor Knight Islands and other fantastic dive spots on the coast.
Also within a short drive you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in NZ and some stunning local coastal walking tracks. All in all a wonderful place to explore the Tutukaka coast from.

Summary: Hi,great little bach to stay at,very clean and tidy.Close to shop,fish chip shop,pizza,cafe and a club.Also very close to beach.Can drive to other nice beaches .We visited the matapouri hall fair and the tuakaka night markets.

Summary: The kitchen is small but well equipped. The shower is great. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. However, several things need some attention - firstly the shower rail which fell down if nudged, secondly the stove, two elements have full on or off, no setting in beween. We burnt some good meat from Tutakaka deli, this set off the fire alarm which meant we ran round flapping newspapers and opening windows. The grounds were untidy, creepers up the external wall and lawn 15cm high. Two outdoor chairs would be great so we could have enjoyed the front deck and sun however we had to eat out on a fixed plank table in the back yard overlooked by several houses, with a view of a concrete drive and the back of a container and sheds, of which there are many. Some attention to exterior things such as pots with dead plants, weeds and creepers would help the description on Air B&B match the reality. Quirky yes, externally unkempt, more so.

Summary: Great little fibro Bach. Reminded me of growing up in the 60’s. Just a couple of minutes walk from the Ngungaru inlet.

Summary: Overall the bach was clean and nicely equipped, the beds were very comfortable. We were surprised there was no table nor chairs for eating indoors, we sat on the sofa round the coffee table. Unusually there was no sign of a welcome folder with local information nor details of emergency services such as fire, ambulance or police. There were no garden chairs for the front garden. With these cautions would recommend it to friends.
