Positive: We had a wonderful family holiday here. Alain and Christine could not have been more welcoming. The gite has access to the swimming pool which is surrounded by beautiful flowers and fantastic after a long day sightseeing. The gite itself is spacious and has a lovely garden leading down towards fields. A nearby track can take you through the fields down to the bay. Alain could not have been more helpful to us. His English was superb and he gave us lots of local tips and guidance which helped us have a much deeper immersion into local sights and culture and helped make our holiday very special. Lots of local sights abound. Great coastal walks, lots of history, beautiful beaches and local festivals. Hillion is only a few minutes walk and is good for baguettes and all local supplies. There are lots of things for families nearby. A lovely place to stay and we hope to be back.
Summary: A great place to stay with wonderful hosts.

Positive: Location excellent. Things to see and do which ever way you drive.
Negative: The constant bad smell in the main bathroom(poor sewage plumbing). Cess pits in rear garden for both properties if not all 3. Drainage seems to go through this property. The swimming pool was not available all day due to the owner being in residence the same week. We took 2 kids 11yrs and 8yrs. Some days use was slightly longer when they went out.
Summary: Host very nice. Property overpriced. Use of the swimming pool was restricted to between 3pm and 7pm.

Positive: Our host Alain was very friendly, spoke good english and provided us with lots of tips for daily trips and restaurants. The garden is beautiful, very relaxing environment! The environment is beautiful especially for hiking and biking. The superU is about 15 drive, the bakery 5 minutes bike ride.
Negative: When you book this house, you have to realise that it is very isolated. For beaches and small towns, you always have to drive at least 20 minutes. The beach near the house (850 m walk) is not a nice beach to lay in the sun! It is a beautiful beach, but at low tides you can not swim and the beach is covered with algae. On rainy days, the house isn't comfortable enough to relax at home. The light plan in the house is not optimal to be able to read a book at night. The WIFI is only working optimal in one corner of the house. The pool is also used by the (guests of) the owner, so not really private. If you don't mind driving for your trips: Rennes, St. Malo, Dinan, Cap d'Erquy, Cap Frehel are the nicest places to go. On Sunday, everything in Saint Brieuc is closed. Besides beaches, hiking and biking there is nothing to do for young adults (age 15-17). It is however a beautiful environment if you like hiking and biking and relaxing
