Positive: It’s a business-driven hotel, even though we said we are on holidays, they asked us for the company name on the invoice… they are so used to it. The staff is ok, some of them are very nice, others not so much. We chose it because of the location, it is just in front of the Pond Lake and close to the train station. The view from our floor was very nice.

Negative: They said they rent bikes but it was only the case that outside of the building there’s a Ubike stop, with no bikes available. The staff barely speak English. The rooms were spacious but to our surprise, they had some small cockroaches (we have been in quite some hotels around Taiwan and it was our first time with this). The swimming pool was full but after we made the booking, we got the message that it was under maintenance, which was a pity. It would be nice to state it in the announcement instead of showing a nice picture of the swimming pool, it’s misleading. We also found out only on the day of the visit that the tiger and dragon pagodas are under maintenance until June 2025.

Summary: Basically you pay for the location which is convenient
