Welcome to Garner Cove Lake House where you can watch the early morning mist rise off the lake and drink coffee from your own private dock. In the evening enjoy star gazing from the large flat grass yard on the lake. Kids and adults alike will enjoy fishing for Bass, Sun Perch, Crappie and Bluegill from the dock. In the spring fish nest is our quiet cove.
This private home is perfect for families. It is located right on Lake Lure with private lake access. You are 45 minutes to downtown Asheville, 35 minutes from Asheville Regional Airport and less than a 10 minute drive to the Town of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Chimney Rock State Park. Boat rentals, personal chefs, massages, and day trips will keep the most energetic vacationer ready to retire in the evenings. Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut George are cool during the summer and outstandingly beautiful in the fall with the colors changing. While hiking in some of our nearby areas you see majestic 60 mile mountain views.
The home offers a circular paved yet very steep driveway that leads right to the front door for easy unloading of luggage and groceries. Parking is also available at the top of the property where well-lit stairs will lead you to the front door.
Soak in all that Garner Cove Lake House has to offer its guests, including 4BR 3BA, high speed internet, cable, and good cellular reception which is better than most homes in the area as coverage can be spotty in the mountains.
From the dock there are three steps that lead you into the lake. There is a nice deck with three lounge chairs and two umbrellas. Along the boathouse is a deck with 4 Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake view with coffee, an evening drink, or charcuterie platter on the water.
Upon entering the house you’ll find a well equipped kitchen, cozy living and dining room. You’ll notice the sliding doors that lead to the lake view and screened in porch. The main screened in porch has 2 bar height tables and 8 chairs and two small buffet tables. There is a porch sitting area and just outside the patio is an outdoor grill. The deck area below is well adorned with an artisan fire dome, 4 Adirondack chair, and two rockers. This area is accessed from the stairs or direct from the game room area. Caution: there is a large ledge on the lower deck.
Amenities: 4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, game room with pool table, pac man, karaoke machine, and wet bar.

Summary: Beautifully remodeled home with an ideal setup for two families of four. The cove is the perfect location for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding with littles (3-7), and only a quick 3 min kayak ride from the main lake with stunning views of the lake/mountains. We all wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights! Renee is a great host and was so easy to communicate with. We will 100% be back to stay again!

Summary: This house is gorgeous. We had 6 adults and 2 children for this family vacation. The property offered a lot of valuable amenities - two story deck equipped with cozy furniture, enough seating to enjoy your own space while chatting about plans, a lovely fire feature with very comfortable chairs to finish an evening with a serene view of the calm waters of Lake Lure made The top of our list. We also appreciated the kitchen utility and the well-stocked spices and seasonings. The dock and sun-deck were a place we found practical for rounding out our days on the water. The views of the lake were a bit lacking, but a quick paddle board ride down the cove opened to the breath-taking scapes that bring us back to Lake Lure year after year. This place is VERY close to the grocery store and Lake House restaurant. The owners were attentive and easy to communicate with. They shared a lot of good information about accessing property and things to do. The most convenient experience we have had on Lake Lure has always been when a boat is available on property - this property did not offer that experience.

Summary: Three generations of my family stayed in this beautiful cabin for a week at the end of Summer. My kids could have stayed in the lake swimming off the dock all day. We did drag them into Chimney Rock to explore a bit, and we wall enjoyed our time there too. The house was extremely well-appointed and had so many cozy spots to enjoy the view and a snack or beverage. Even a few afternoon thunderstorms didn't dampen the mood. We will look forward to our next trip!

Summary: Can't overstate how wonderful our experience was with this house! It was the perfect place to stay for our kids/grandkids. Super clean and every detail was so well thought out. From good spices in the kitchen to aloe lotion in the bathroom...there is absolutely nothing we were in need of. I am also obsessed with the coffee cups 😄. So many wonderful memories made both on the lake and in the house. I hope we have the opportunity to return at some point in the future.

Summary: Beautiful home with many recent renovations. Great attention to detail. Loved all the well placed hooks, hangers, storage etc. Lots of little extras made us feel welcome. We wanted to be on the lake and very close to Chimney Rock. This was the perfect location. This property is tucked up in a small cove. It does not offer a wide open lake view if that is what you are looking for. However, the view from the house is lovely. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards, caught fish off the dock, and spent a lot of time playing in the water. The bedrooms are on the small side but host has made great use of space available. Husband and I slept in main floor bedroom. The mattress was firm and linens were good quality making for a great night’s sleep. Didn’t feel like there was a true master bedroom in this house. Host was very responsive to questions. Even had their service come by to give us a couple more life jackets. Decks were larger than anticipated and well equipped with seating, tables etc. We would highly recommend Garner Cove. Note: this property is about two houses beyond Pawley’s Place.

The host provided everything we needed with paper products and a well-stocked kitchen. The host was quick to respond if we had questions. The lake access, dock, and kayaks were lots of fun for the whole family.

Summary: The home is beautiful and my kids absolutely loved the game room. Renee was accommodating and responsive during our stay. The only negative I would say is that the home is not suited for older people due to the extreme slope of the property. There is a bedroom on the main floor where my parents were able to stay, but the bathroom was very tiny. My dad has mobility issues and really struggled to get dressed in it. The rest of us were very comfortable in our rooms. The location is convenient to shopping and trails. I wish we could visit again with our kids during the summer.

Summary: We loved this retreat on Lake Lure. We celebrated my paretns' 50th wedding anniversary with three generations together. We enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, paddleboard, and game room. Also great walks around the neighborhood and the nearby local trails. Plenty of space, wonderful decor, and stocked kitchen were a plus!
