Positive: The hotel has free parking and the proprietor is very much wanting to ensure your stay is good. The breakfast is a fixed plan, but has a good amount of variety. Oddly, you are not allowed to select where you sit - she points you to your table. The room was clean.
Negative: This stay was in August and it was hot. There is no a/c, which on non-road rooms might work OK. However, my room was on the road, which gets a lot of traffic throughout the night. While the information indicates there is "soundproofing", that is not of much use when you must have the windows open to cool down the room. In addition, the artwork, which appears to be stickers, is starting to peel from the room walls. Be aware that soap is not provided other than hand soap at the sink. This used to be a restaurant and beer garden, but those have closed and they appear to be allowing the hotel portion to decline over time.
Summary: Friendly, but hotel is in a slow decline. I would avoid if hot weather is likely.
