Positive: The bed was very comfortable.
Negative: I booked this property because my friend and I were walking the West Highland Way. However it is 1.5 miles off the trail and at the top of a hill! Not good after a long day walking. When we arrived it took us a while, 15 mins, to locate the owner... She gave us the code for the room door, pointing to where we needed to go. We asked about milk for tea, Kelly said it was in the fridge in the room. The milk was sour, my friend asked for it replacing, it sour again, she gave us the remainder of her carton. Again sour and even worse, out of date! I know its only milk but when you have paid £160 a night you expect to have the basics. We didn't use the hot tub. By the time we got sorted we just wanted to sleep. Breakfast was not included, it could be ordered but the cost was high. Neither was a lift back down the hill to join the way. Kelly informed us, 'well you're walkers, Im sure walking down the hill won't be too hard.' There was also no plug for the bathroom sink and the shower didn't drain properly. When I looked under the sink to see if it was there. There was a container catching water from a leak!

Negative: I enjoyed the stunning location of Inversnaid, which is truly a gem of Scotland. However, there were a few aspects that left us disappointed during our stay. I was unable to contact the owner on-site via phone or doorbell, which made it difficult to address any concerns. The only option was to ring a bell on the gate and hope someone heard. One of the boys kindly suggested a lovely place to eat, which was great, but when we inquired about the hot tub, his response was simply to 'get it' before the other group did. This lack of communication left us feeling a bit rushed. The room didn’t quite live up to the £140 per night rate. The window couldn't be closed properly due to a protruding wire under the couch, and there were burn marks on the countertop. The television was small and only had basic Sky channels—Freeview would have been a better option. The overpowering plug-in air freshener was also unpleasant, and we turned it off immediately. Additionally, the neighbours enjoyed the BBQ, fire pit, and hot tub with little consideration for others, which impacted our ability to relax. We ended up leaving just before midnight, feeling that the setting wasn’t conducive to rest. Their Music was also very loud. A suggestion I have would be to implement set times for each room to use the hot tub, so everyone can enjoy it without the pressure to act quickly. There’s also enough space to add another BBQ or hot tub setup just outside the Highlander window, allowing both rooms to have equal access to these amenities. I hope you take this feedback as constructive criticism. The location itself is beautiful, and with a few improvements, it could offer a truly exceptional experience. We would love to return in the future, hopefully to see these changes in place.
