Positive: This house has the potential to be a 10/10. The house has a lovely, light feel to it & was spacious enough to accommodate everyone. Having the BBQ available for use was handy. The kids made good use of the pool. The owner offered a late check out. Adequate amounts of kitchen equipment & utensils.

Negative: The house cleanliness was severely underwhelming. There were major dust bunnies underneath the beds & items presumably left behind by previous occupants incl a dirty sock in one bedroom & a comb under the rug of another. The air filters on the air conditioners were dirty enough to effect function. The air vents in the toilet & bathroom were putrid. There is no bathroom privacy as the clear glass window, which is overlooked by the neighbours windows, is located inside the shower & covered only by a see though net curtain. We hung a towel from the curtain rod. We did not use the spa bath as mould was visible in & around the jets. Most of the kitchen items we wanted to use required washing before use. And lastly the BBQ drip tray caught fire as the tray had not been cleaned in some time. There is an ant problem so all food had to be in sealable packaging, airtight containers or kept in the fridge.

Positive: Lovely, clean spacious home, room for everyone. Location was good.

Negative: Put a towel over bathroom window, as thought people could see in the shear curtains. As on a busy road, and as to be expected, there was a bit of traffic noise in the morning.

Positive: Very warm decoration, you can see that the owner is a person who loves life. We had the pool cleaned by professional staff on the day we checked in. When we walked into the house, we were amazed by the warmth and design of the house, which was beyond our imagination. And the surprise is not only these, because we played in a hurry did not see the detailed instructions on the refrigerator, but also have been asking the owner a lot of things that have been written, but the owner has also patiently answered (and finally saw the detailed notice on the refrigerator I feel very moved). And the owner also prepared a lot of food and a variety of spices for us to use tableware, any problems we can encounter the owner has thought of. Thanks to the owner for the sweet home, I would recommend this house to all friends who want to visit here.

Positive: Beautiful home and central to everything we needed in Cairns. Property owners were fantastic with all the messages I ended up sending due to needed an extended day and they were extremely accommodating. Home was furnished with everything you could need, lovely Kitchen, Laundry, Air-conditioning and great pool. Would highly recommend Gateway to Paradise

Positive: We were able to check in early to this great spacious house that includes everything you need for your getaway. Comfy beds, 2(!) washers and dryers, comfy beds, and even your own private pool! The host wad very responsive and shared tips for things to do in and around Cairns. Highly recommend this place

Positive: This is such a great place to stay in Cairns. - puppy friendly, - family friendly 4 bedroom - plus pool - plus handy to get to everything without being in the middle of it all The host was excellent and prompt in all communications.
